im 19 and collect physical games, for original xbox and 360 mainly, i like being able to display them, and they have a resale value too so doesnt feel like a money sink
Same here, I will always LOVE physical media. I grew up on VHS, tapes and discs. The older I get the more my nostalgia for the past grows stronger and I do wish as a kid I had looked after a lot my games and tapes. There is nothing like holding that new movie, game or book in your hands. I agree with you on digital. Great video man.
You're not the only person with fond memories of Kane & Lynch Dead Men. I was blown away seeing my uncle playing it on his Xbox 360, along with Fight Night Round 3 and Mirror's Edge on a Plasma TV. Huge upgrade in graphics from PS2. Me and my brother had a good time with K&L on co-op and the ENDING of the game is unforgettable to me. My memory of it says it's much better than the second game which I thought was mediocre.
As an older man 40years old , more younger people should be doing this , they can close anything at any point and you are going to big on RUclips sir, very professional 👍
Completely agree with everything you’ve said here, my ps3 collection and my blu ray collection are hugely important to me. Love your videos btw dude, it’s cool to see people who are still passionate about this stuff!
You are same as me and said the same words than i said all the time, ive got loads of old ( retro i mean) and the beauty about it long as i have electricity i can play what ever i want.So i agree with you!
Need to sync audio and video. Other than great vid. Physical is making a comeback. I was digital only for a while but have started a physical collection because of the way things are going
I hate when people judge for collecting any geeky thing or just collecting in general. It's like, "sorry for having interests and not being a boring fuck" 😂 go watch Eastenders Karen! Its like i dont drink regular, never smoked, dont vape. Barely gamble, so screw u im allowed to buy and collect something!. I'm also VERY nostalgic bro, best times of my life as a kid, so i struggle to let go of a lot of my childhood games or toys etc. Sold lots off in 2018 and boy do i regret that. Who knew how bad covid would affect everything. My pokémon cards i wanted to complete sets were now insane and so were video games. Love displaying certain games and love DBZ so much i have to buy the physical series and manga.
The best part of having a game collection for me is having my favourite games as a kid and being able to permanently have games my friends lent me or had in their collection as a kid that I always wanted. I swapped Halo 3 for Gears with one of my friends, now I have both. My other friend wanted his Simpsons Hit & Run back, I only got about halfway, now I actually own it and can finish it 20 years later.
Gamestation was class ay. Cheapest prices most often and I became friendly with the staff. They held a few random tournaments back in the days, I won a Mario Kart Double Dash tourney and got my first copy of fifa 05 (promotional disc) and that got me into fifa gamds 😂
I am like you, Cayle, I’m all for physical media. I enjoy owning films and games and am on the look out for both. I get the convenience of digital and if people like it then that’s fine. But you’re always held ransom to pay what these digital stores want you to pay, and many films can’t be found on streaming platforms. I could talk all day about it, but I’m sure we have the same opinion.
I've been collecting Xbox games and TV series DVDs for a few years now, anything I like I get. I normally get stuff in a franchise that I have endured before so I don't just get anything for the sake of it, but even if I get a 360 game or a show that I'm not gonna re watch or re play for a while, I'll pick it up anyway cause then I own it for when I want it. Also just cause I like having "stuff", I'm not a hoarder but I enjoy some clutter.
Love the bookshelf, maybe the put the newer game cases on top just cause the back drop gets a bit washed out with the whiteish walls and the white cases
Physical only for myself unless I'm forced into a digital only release of something I really want to play Digital is all about no resale/lending, artificially keeping the prices higher for longer and is always more expensive yet should be cheaper
Brilliant mate, digital would ruin gaming, company’s want digital because they will save money at factory’s , distribution etc, but the amount of games they charge more than a physical release is a joke!….. they will have us by the balls and charge what they like and no one will be able to go somewhere else to get it cheaper! If physical goes you will see £100 + games….
You've probably been asked before, but where did you get your shelving units. They'd be great for my Xbox 360 collection. Many thanks & keep up the good work on your videos.
Really love your videos mate but one slight thing for me you seem out of synch sound wise, not sure if it's just my end or your end. You said exactly what i've told people about physical too for me it's the memories and knowing that the physical media will always be there for me to return to at anytime i want.

I used to work for GAME and loved midnight releases! I’m 28 now and I’m getting back into physical games keep it up 🙌

I love how you describe it! You're completely right.

You should do a full physical media collection video of both your games and dvds. I would happily sit and watch that for an hour.
Gamestation was epic back in the day, i was gutted when game bought it and turned them into game stores

Hey cayle, probably won't see this but I'm around the same age as U and I agree with every little bit of stuff U said in this video.
can you do a full run through of all the games you have so far?
