Im thinking his domain expansion just traps you in your core memories and transforms you or reverts you back to what you are in those memories when and how you experienced them. Yuji's most fondest, core and or strongest memories are of his hometown. The thing is in this domain you are as vulnerable as that persons memory, your memory or you were in fact. Similar to a freddy kruger dream scape. I believe the hands or claws of calamity yuji has are a freddy kruger or nightmare on elm street reference. These dreams or memories would be a projection of the soul. Sakuna may not have a particularly strong soul but an awareness of it. As he has more so been defending his soul rather than utilizing it. Yuji's attacks may be to break down the barrier of cursed energy or defenses sakuna has set up to pull his true self or true soul into his domain expansion or dream scape. This is where i believe it gets interesting as the soul resonance will either be used on sakuna's final fingers or him directly in the form of a cursed tool. Not to kill but as part of a crit chain. The pre-req to activate resonance being the number of black flashes yuji is able to land in this fight. The measure of this being the cursed energy output of the sakuna finger they have and are monitoring. Once this happens sakuna may be defeated but he may still be virtually or physically immortal. Yuji will then activate his domain and project sakuna's soul at his core which may be that of a fetus similar to that of a death womb painting though in critical condition. Showing how sakuna not only never outgrew his nearly primal/fetal inhibitions for survival though him being a cursed spirit that embodies the fear of death itself. Him not dying of any glorious means but by the elements within yuji's domain...well thats the first half of my far out there theory.

If this power has a cost, he will have had no hesitation in paying it. So yeah, i lean towards Yuji dying and perhaps he creates a miracle in exchange. Even if he has to pay the ultimate sacrifice, he will still die with a smile knowing he could save lives.

Im moderately sure ten shadows isn’t at all dead. I mean the only shikigami gojo actually destroyed was mahoraga. Im not 100% sure whether agito counts as fully destroyed, since well of unknown abyss was stated to be able to be destroyed with no permanent consequences. Not sure if agito is similar or more like divine dog totality (probably more like the former). But regardless of all that it is stated when we first see divine dog totality that the remaining shikigami can inherit the cursed energy and techniques of destroyed shikigami. Meaning megumi may now have a super ultra strong shikigami that inherited both agito and mahoraga’s abilities.

I’m thinking that yujis domain is a battle of the soul and whoever has a stronger soul wins, the anchor to trap someone in the domain is having a piece of the other person such as sukunas last finger, and yujis extra missing finger that we just found out about and now it’s an even playing field, however I think that yujis confidence in winning stems from the fact that he’s been weakening sukunas soul this whole time and on top of that his hold over megumi is reaching its limit, meaning there’s no way he could win this kind of battle, because the defining factor isn’t strength, cursed technique or domain expansion, the defining factor is the soul and sukunas is weak right now compared to yujis. This is all just a theory though but how cool would that be!!

I dont KNOW if there's a chance Nobara will ACTUALLY come back and use resonance on Sukuna's last finger... Because Gege did say he planned to kill her off in the Shibuya arc, so I don't have high hopes... But you know what? I can see it happening. And in a twisted way, it'll probably affect both Yuji and Sukuna, resulting in even higher stakes with both our MC and the King of curses weakened, and thus, prolonging the battle. Or maybe near the end, Yuji actually eats the last finger and boosts himself to finish Sukuna off, but I wont ramble on too much. I always theorised that maybe Nobara could use resonance on Yuji and damage Sukuna since Yuji and Sukuna are still 'connected' in a way, though Sukuna left Yuji's body. Those theories died after seeing Nobara's 'confirmed' death by Yuji in chapter 265, and finding out Akutami himself said at a QnA he wanted to KILL Nobara off in Shibuya for a long time. I also thought that was the 'reason' for Nobara's death.
But thank YOU for bringing back my hope. I fucking love you. Even if I get disappointed again by Gege. At least I had hope.
