Thank you for this fantastic walk in Loviisa. I do like your written comments because it helps understanding what you are showing us, and the quotes on the sidewalk are interesting.
Thank you! Sometimes I try to provide some amateur guiding that way. I’ve put my “guided walks” in this playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLquhEbgx-gHdvH_wm4lNDDVjLN-Qv990t

The history is interesting. Sweden once had a large empire extending into parts of modern day Russia, Poland, Germany, & the Baltic States as well as Finland & Norway during various periods. Swedish domination ended in 1809 with Finland becoming an autonomous grand duchy of Russia until the Russian Revolution in 1917. Free Finland is only 105 years old. But they've been fierce fighters when it comes to maintaining their independence from Russia. They are most welcome as the newest member of the NATO Alliance, along with Sweden. ELAKOON SUOMI!
"To wrap something in cellophane", that would be the direct translation from my language of a phrase we use, when we try to present things better or nicer than they really are.You don't do that, but always try to capture the reality and don't hesitate to also show the less appealing parts of cities. To balance things out, as you say
@@StockholmWalks Nice expression you have.Well, you don't beauty paint, and that's one of the things I admire by you so much, not trying to be a travel agency.Best example would be your video of the ugliest street in Stockholm.Which may not be beautiful, but the honest presentation of it is
Nah, not really. I think they’re trying, and off course they have some tourist, but I think it’s mostly people in the area, out sailing, summer cottages in the area, getting out of Helsinki. But that’s just me guessing based on a couple of visits
@@StockholmWalks Yes, just about that. It is not a very touristy place, unlike Porvoo which receives many day-trippers from Helsinki. I live quite near this place and have been there often.
Really nice place! Your written comments are a very good idea.

That might work, the cotton, I’ll try! Using mic’s with whatever you called it doesn’t work with my gimbal

is there a name for the yellow paint color on the houses? I like it very much.
I would guess it’s linseed oil pain, a color called ockra gul / yellow. Very pretty!

That’s a good expression! Like sugar coat in English. I guess in Swedish we would say Skönmåla- ”beauty paint”

Ha ha - dear old Magnus Ladulås gatan. Well, reality was the original plan- the beauty kind of snuck up on me
The beauty lies in the fact that you "dare" to show the unpainted reality, something that you don't always get in the YT world
