This rod was the my intriduction to BFS fishing, I paired mine with the C9Air reel. and once I got the reel sorted out I found the rod beautiful to cast and very forgiving of, beginers, casting mistakes. I have found the pairing I use is like having two rods, with the extra tip and two reels, with the extra spool. Wonderful combination.

For me getting a good hookset with this rod is very hard. Guess it's better for trout fishing where the moderate action is an advantage. I prefer the bass style BFS rods (example Majorcraft Benkei).
Technically Correct . Totally agree . I bought a tsurinoya trout elf from Ali Express after watching a channel i follow using it for perch here in the UK . He was singing the rods praises . The usual crap about it being better than rods 3 times its price sold here in the UK . Its terrible for hooksets with single hooks , even when using braid . I could get better hooksets with an overcooked piece of spaghetti . Maybe its ok for trout with trebles with their soft mouths but for bony , hard mouth fish , its terrible .
The rod works really well with the light tip but the butt doesn't feel as good when the UL tip. This is par for the course with twin tip rods of different power.
Hi Andrew! What's your favorite budget UL spinning rod for perch? I've been looking for an UL spinning rod for dropshotting, jigging and ned fishing small plastic lures from Supercontinent. The Ace Hawk CU Double looks very promising!
i love your videos my friend and after watching this i imeddiatly ordered the rod oh dear what a mistake the top 6inches snapped off whilst threading the line up ,absoloutly no replies to all my messages to the seller at all so think twice before buying there is no warranty or even answers to my messages keep up the great videos andrew
How’s the backbone? I’d like to use it for perch and trout. Trout here have a maximum of probably 4-5lbs in my local streams, do you think it could handle that?

Not that I care too much but I handled "Tsurinoya trout elf" myself a few times and this Ace Hawk one is way stiffer compared to Tsu Elf Trout noddle.

For me the opposite - I prefer solid tip.

It is a very good rod for many applications.

They do reply to me in a few days. No issues from my side with the comms.

This rod will handle trout of this size as any other UL with this casting rating.
This is a great rod. Only I hated the grip. I was able to easily replace the grip with cork. It is much better now.

Never happened in normal fishing situation. Only in the dark when I was being too mean to the rod.
