Fle[x] String Ensemble was founded in 2008 in the Municipality Conservatory of Kalamata by the violinist Ilektra Vezyroglou. Initially as a string quartet , the main objective was to evolve into a complete string orchestra by attracting young musicians.
In 2016 Fle[x] reaches its current state as a chamber music ensemble, formed by students and professors both from the Conservatory of Kalamata and the Athens Conservatory. The invaluable assistance of colleagues Georgia Tsolaki, and Giannos Giovanos is the main key to the functionality of the ensemble. Its unique characteristics- the ensemble appears in various combinations, from a string duet up to a full string orchestra, also extended to Flex plus [+] involving various solo instruments.
Fle[x] has appeared in concerts in Brussels, Wiesbaden, Frankfurt, Vienna, Athens and Kalamata.
