You know I was born in San Jose Costa Rica, and by them we did not have gates in front of the houses, this happened about 20 o more years. I know is kind of sad to look at the houses. Well I left with a permanent visa to USA when I was only 17 years old, I finish my schooling in the states, I have been few times in Costa Rica my sisters still live in Costa Rica, praise God for that. God bless you and enjoy the trip
Hey Pat, love your videos. QQ: When traveling to cities like Jaco, Tamarindo, etc. what method of travel do you recommend from the airport (San Jose?) to the final destination? Bus, taxi, uber? Any guidance much appreciated!
I would suggest taking an Uber. It’s cheaper than a taxi and more relaxing than the bus. The bus is the cheapest, but it takes more time and can be more draining after a long flight.
Great tour as always. Enjoying the view of the mountains! The neighbourhood reminds me of the neighbourhoods in Manila, with the houses so close together!
It reminded me of an area in Johor Bahru Malaysia, that I have lived once. If they had gates like that, trust me when I say it's not that safe. So..be careful Pat. I got snatched theft by a motorbike in an area like that coming home with my children. And it was still early. Not dark yet. I hope it's not like that. But still if they have gates like that, the local knew something is always up. Be safe. Be vigilant. Especially if you are outsider. The longer you lived there, the more they noticed.
If U. R in San Jose u visit the National ..Jade and Gold museums also can go to barrio Amon and Otoya neighborhoods and Sabana Park highly recommended.
I miss the mountains of where I used to live. I like the neighborhood. I would like to live there. In Brazil, the backyards are walled up, not the front yards.
I like this neighborhood which is similar to our villages here in. Metro Manila but I think it is cleaner there than here. I like the uplifted steel boxes along the street mzybe they are for trash? We do not have like that here.
Hi Patrick hope you are well? Really value your opinion very intelligent guy, please can I ask re the Philippines very roughly would it be easy to rent a 2 bed small house with a pool, how much very roughly per month in USA and is a 6 months rent possible? Hope you are enjoying Costa Rica thank you very much for any reply love Gerry

They are vaccinating but by age. They already vaccinated first liners and most people above 70. Now they are focusing on people 60-70.
