Hi Mayank,
I would love to know more about self-financing options like either working part-time and covering livings costs, etc. at HEC
Is it compulsory to have experience less than 2 years for MiM or MiF ?
My Man going strong !!! More power to you bro
IIM tag isn't for general Engineer Male with 96%ile in CAT its just for Reserved ones
Be bhai jale pe namak mat chidak
General engineer male shouldn't even be allowed to sit for cat honestly
Hey can u talk about other B-Schools in Europe, like INSEAD? How Different is it from HEC?
Loved the edit for 'guest lectures' bit at 1:00. Cheeky 😉
Hahahaha thanks :D
Quality content, always!
Amazing video Mayank
Incredible series
Great video. I had this dilemma since a very long time so thanks a lot!
Me too. I am still thinking. Can we connect on linkedin? www.linkedin.com/in/naveen-kumar-12284b112
Thanks a lot Mayank, you cleared a lot of my doubts specially the point which mentions if you want to be an entrepreneur! Didn't know you'd get to that point without even asking! Thanks a ton I have a lot of clarity now
Keep it up😁
Sir, I have completed my bachelor's degree from Seoul National University in Korea and currently I'm doing job from 2years can I able to apply in HEC and can I get scholarship also
Please tell🙏
What are the Job opportunities and Placement scene post MiM at HEC?
As a fellow MITian, I highly appreciate all your work and would like you to know how helpful these videos are for inexperienced juniors.
Great channel Mayank!
I would like to point out a couple things here though. Coming to the cost, 23 lakhs at IIM B includes accommodation and food. In fact, all the top B -Schools in India include the cost of accommodation and food in their final fee slips as Indian MBAs are residential programs. Another thing we need to consider is the fact that, if one does get into top 5 or even top 10 B-Schools in India, they get an MBA degree and not an MiM. So comparing European MiM to Indian MBA does not make much sense to me.
Something I have been wanting to ask, would it make sense to do an MiM after 2 years of experience?
Please correct me if I'm wrong. Looking forward to connecting with you, if possible.
Hi Angad! Thanks for bringing this up. Your point on the fees including accommodation is totally right. My bad for overlooking that.
However, IIM programs are MiM (PGDM) and not MBA programs. They come in the same ranking list as HEC Paris as well (IIMs are ranked starting 24-25 and HEC is ranked 2), because it’s considered the same program.
Regarding your question, I think it might make sense if you have exactly 2 years, but anything more than that you might be better off with an MBA.
@@MayankSehgal Got it!
I was under the impression that starting this year, i.e Batch of 2022, IIMs will start handing out proper MBA degrees. Thank you for the clarification.
To be honest I'm not sure about that! I haven't looked that deeply into IIMs.
Hey great content! Just what I needed!...also can u make video on jobs/ internships that you get thru mim
Also. Something like where would it lead you after 5 years of the degree
heyyyy........ what are the chances to get a job in the USA after MIM degree in europe or uk , coz am more into USA but mim or business schools are very well known for in the EU/UK right and affordable tooo but I wanna expand my career and settle in usa. So what'd u think abt that?
I have binge watched your channel. Ha :p
I am just starting my first year of BBA this year would you like to give some tips about how should I go forward in order to get into HEC Paris? Like the CGPA, what activities, internships would be good and all..
Where are you doing it bro?
Avarage Living expenses for a b school student in Bangalore is 15k-18k per month . In HEC Paris that is 85k or 1k euro avarage, said by him in another video. The estimation for Bangalore is totally wrong in the video..
Hey man, I grew up in Bangalore. It’s hard to say one specific number for Bangalore or anywhere in India, since it totally depends on your lifestyle.
In my videos I’m speaking from personal experience. The 40k INR number I said assumes a certain kind of lifestyle that I think a student at a top B-school would have including rent, food, and going out/restaurants/bars/parties too.
The rent per person in many places in Bangalore is itself 12-14k. Your food expenses will be another 5-6k or more. Travel expenses are another 5-6k depending on whether you have a bike or you Uber or take a bus. And then if you include going out every weekend, you’re spending around 2k each time so that’s 8k. It adds up to around 30-40k in total.
Of course it’s totally possible to live on a 15k budget, and it’s possible to live on an 80k budget in Bangalore. It depends on what you want.
In IIM Bangalore room rent is included in their academic fees.
@@arijitkar9434 bhai indian B schools are very difficult to get especially IIM-B , My senior studied from HEC Paris with just 6 cgpa from IITs as he couldn't get any of the top B-school in India , even he was not able to score well in CAT exam . So HEC paris with IIM B has no comparison .
CAT is 70x more difficult than GRE,GMAT
@@karthik9272 Yeah thats why it sucks. Sure u need to get fluent in the language to ace in Europe but that's much easier than studying your ass off to get 99.9x percentile in CAT and still be rejected in an Interview cuz ur an engineer and have only decent grades.
Even in terms of rankings, IIMs barely make it to the top schools in the world, HEC although is high up in the chain.
Hey Mayank.. I hope you're doing well.. After doing MIM abroad and working for few years in that country if we plan to comeback to India how much average salary can we expect in India ? Any rough idea.
Hey I've been following your videos for a while now. Thanks for these informative videos. Can you please do a video about the education loans in HEC Paris and other b-schools in Europe like LBS, LSE, etc.
Brother mim is only for pcm students or does a commerce student also do it.
What about Sel de Guérande and Fleur de Ré ? Which one is the best ? 😉
this comment should have been caught by the spam filter 😛
What about the placements after MIM?
I’ll make a video on this very soon!
@@MayankSehgal thanks bro
@@MayankSehgal please do, and if possible, please talk about how many Indian students get into prestigious firms (Mck/Roland Berger/GS etc.)
Hey Mayank!! Since you did your bachelors in Engineering. How did you make up for the theoretical business knowledge deficit in your applications?
What about public university in Europe is it worth studying mba there
Hey thanks for the great content.
Can you make a video about how to built a profile one year before admission like what extra circulars look good on the profile.
Thanks again
Hey Mayank ! Does summer school help in boosting your resume for getting into top b schools ?
Great video Mayank! I was wondering if you could give more insight on HEC Grande Ecole International business duel degree program?
Isn't the fees for MBA programme at HEC Paris £76,000
ur videos are great. love from India buddy, just do let me know is project management offered in English at hec?
Hey Mayank!
I understood your point but I had a doubt regarding "Job security" after MiM from Europe. In India, after MiM you're almost guaranteed a job but how's the scenario nin Europe after MiM? What if I'm not able to get a job and what will happen to my Educational Loan which I took?
Waiting for your response
I'll make a video on jobs very soon :)
@@MayankSehgal Thank you!
In IIM one can get educational loan very easily . Is there any such facility in Hec
Does age matter? Does Pursuing MiM at the age of 26 make any sense? With one year of work ex?
Age doesn't matter at all :) what matters is your # of years of work experience!
Whats the medium of education at hec paris? M up for MiM in marketing. Your videos are really helpful !
It’s English for most programs! The marketing program is English for sure.
@@MayankSehgal thanks Mayank ! Will try sticking around you for most of my queries. Hope you would be responsive :)
@@MayankSehgal Also, i'd request you to make a video on DELF certification for French (in detail). I am a bit confused about it.

What all skills you think an engineering student should acquire in order to get ready for getting into big B schools in Europe? Btw a great video again!!
Wait for the next video, it's on this topic :)
Does graduating from a French business school allow me to intern/work full-time in London without the need for visa sponsorship?
Thanks in advance!
