    Hi mr rohit, i got admitted to the MIM. Please, i would like to know how easy is it to get doctoral admission in the faculty after completing the MIM.
    Secondly, what is the chance of getting student job and accomodation in Mannheim for a student with family.
    Thank you

    • @rohitthe14th
      @rohitthe14th  13 дней назад +1

      Doctoral admission will highly depend on your grades … especially the MIM grades. Student job will depend on your CV and skills you bring to the table. For accommodation, I will recommend starting very early because it is very difficult to get accommodation until and unless you are willing to pay very high rent amounts.

    • @rohitthe14th

      Maybe you should first find a suitable place and then only bring your family. Then you are more flexible with your choices in the beginning few months and can focus on understanding Germany first.

      Hi Vishnu, yes, with very good GMAT, I will say you do stand a chance. Your graduation grades are a bit low, but if you can compensate with very good GMAT, it should be ok. Another thing that could help in Mannheim MIM is international exchange or work ex. For now, I will say just try your best and apply everywhere you feel ok with. Think where to go once you have a few calls. Best of luck :)

    • @rohitthe14th
      @rohitthe14th  Год назад +1

      Hi Vishnu, I think the min. Work ex required is 3 years for Mannheim Business School MBA. Other universities might have 2 or 3 yr as requirement for MBA as well. They don’t care if it is govt. or private, but during job search it is more helpful if your previous job was in something which Germans can relate to. For example in a world famous MNC, some German company, some very known work areas like IT, Data Science etc. The less they can understand what you did, the less relevance they will give to your work experience.

      @rohitthe14th  Год назад +1

      Hi Amit, I think you are at the sweet spot to go for any of the two. MIM will cost you less money, more time and will ease you into a new country, culture. MBA will cost more money, less time, but might give you a slightly higher starting salary in European market. I was in your spot as well, and I took MIM because I wanted to really understand if Germany suits me and for that I needed time to explore various aspects of life in Germany. And I am glad, I selected MIM. Sorry for the late reply. I was sick. Best of luck :)

    • @rohitthe14th
      @rohitthe14th  Год назад +1

      In general, yes, MIM has a younger crowd and many freshers. I guess, most of them are 22 to 26 yrs old when they start the course. But there is no where written that you can’t study MIM at 28 yrs old. I even met a few (when I was studying) who were 30+ yrs old and in MIM. In germany, nobody cares much about a few years here and there. Here people are more individualistic and decide whatever suits them best. Still, if you are overly concerned with you being older, you can go for MBA where you will be on the younger side of the batch 😄

    Do Manheim University take engineer grads in their mim program? I checked their eligibility criteria and its clearly mentioned that you should have studied undergrad in business field and atleast have 36 ects in business subject. Can you please clear this doubt and explain how you got an admit as an engineering grad or did they gave you a special admit cause of you iim tag?

    • @rohitthe14th
      @rohitthe14th  Год назад

      In my experience, in Germany you can easily switch between various fields if you have required credits. So, even as engineer, you can get into most business courses including mannheim MIM if you have the required 36 ECTS. I had 36 ECTS as I took a few business courses in DCE during my engineering bachelors. To be fair to all, uni mannheim had a policy to not consider master degree credits in selection for master in management program. So, my IIM degree credits ( also a masters program) were not considered in selection.
