I love the MF8 and MF9 puzzles. Hopefully they keep going and release an MF10 and MF11 at some point, would love to see smaller and more affordable versions of those puzzles.
I saw this and I hit the buy button SO FAST. I've been wanting a 'big' cube for a while. Gave it a solve. I would not get this for speedsolving. The peices are smaller than any human's fingers and flicking slices are problematic. For casual solving its an A+++, it turns well not to lock and its cheap enough to give folks like me the experience of solving such a large cube. Great that you reviewed this.
holy crap, they are WAY smaller than the other 8x8 / 9x9s... I don't have that brand, but im supposing that they're comparable to the Shengshou 8x8 and 9x9... Man... the size difference alone makes me really really want one!!!

My MF8 came really tight and unerlubed, so I had to make mystic garden lube do its work in it and loosen the screws. Now it turns pretty well, but since it's quite loose I get pops once in a while, so I'm scared to turn it as fast as I do 6x6 or 7x7. I get 1-2 pops a day on average, some are nasty, one time I would lose an entire top layer, if I didn't react correctly, then hold my breath, pull out the center piece that caused the mess. If I sneezed or turned the top layer few millimeters, it would explode :D
I like how he put j for jioushi so it doesn’t get confused with mf8, and sorry about your cat. I had m6 dog die when I was 4, and I’m still sad about it. I understand.

9:56 (a performance enhancing 'mod', not a shape-mod) MF8 can get truly amazing when set up right. I spring swapped and magnetized my MF8, basically did a YuXin red 6x6 setup but using YuXin unicorn king 4x4 springs instead of YuXin 5x5 springs, and the cube now turns better than my main 7x7 which is a good cube itself. The MF8 can pop especially during 2x3 corner cutting but I got used to it enough to never/rarely pop. The cube destroyed all my PBs, and my average with the MF8 slightly faster than my PB single on my former 8x8 main (Shengshou spring compressed).

Same I ordered the 9x9 and mine and it came in yesterday. Very fun to solve. I went from a my largest cube (5x5) to it. So it was a huge step up.

Can you compare these to the MeiLongs, and also the MF6 and MF7S to the MeiLongs?
I have both of these 9x9's and can solve the Yuxin 9x9 quicker. I find that it just turns better and the layers don't stick together.

I bought the MF8 and MF9. My MF8 is not over lube when it came, but my MF9 is seriously over lube. I did take my MF9 apart to wash the lube out.

CrazyBadCuber shape mod or bandage mods are definitely cool also. 6x6x8 and 7x7x9 by 3D print extensions are definitely possible
