To my ears the V16 has a bit more 'steel' and focus. Disclosure: I mostly play a Vandoren HR V16 T7 or the metal V16 equivalent so my preference for the V16 over the Jody may not be objective. Whatever, thank you for an excellent succinct demo of the two.
Thanks, I really like the whole Vandoren V16 line of mouthpieces and I do prefer the V16 T8 to Jody Jazz Hr* 8 slightly. It feels much more linkish. Soundwise they are very close but V16 seems to have more character.

JJ sounds more warm and lush. Like that. The V16 can be a little shrill to me. But just taste I guess.
They are both great pieces but I'm now back to my metal Otto Link.
