If you mean the standard Otto Link Tone Edge I'd say that Vandoren T8 is better but there are also the New Vintage Tone Edge which could be a nice option and the new EB connoisseur. Didn't try the latter but it gets nice reviews. Always best to try before buying as we're all different.
I loved the sound of the T7L and I think it's great for straight ahead but it didn't work for me in more contemporary/pop setting. T8 is more versatile in my opinion but doesn't have as much depth as the T7L. So if you play jazz gigs mostly I would choose the T7L but if you need a piece that can handle some pop solos and still sounds fine in a jazz setting than the T8 might be a better option for you.
in the video is T8 large o medium? And do you prefere T8 medium o large? thanks
It's a medium chamber version. I prefer the sound of the large chamber but the standard medium chamber might be a bit more versatile.
Which opening do you prefer in the entire v16 series?
I only tried T7, T8 and T9. I would have a hard time deciding between the T7 and T8 but would probably go with the latter.
Hello friend! Which is better: Vandoren T8 or Otto Link Tone Edge 8*?

V16 T8 sounds beautiful
From my point of view the T8 sounds more brilliant. focous, and in controll. I prefer this one
The T8 is my choice as well. It's more focused and have a nicer core sound.
It’s a lot about the reed, more open mp needs lighter reed to achieve focus and controll
Hello. Which one did you find most comfortable? T7 or T8? Easy tuning, timbre? I have an 80's Yani. Thanks! Brazil in the area.
They are both easy to play. T8 has a bit more warmth and body to the sound.
T8 had a more focused sound and I thought it sounded better, but the lower part of your range was better on the T9
I prefered a T8.
What reeds do you use on the T8? La Voz M is fine with me.
My T8 is very reed friendly and I use either Vandoren V16 3, D'addario Royal 3,5 or D'addario Select Jazz 3H/3M. All of these works great for me.
Which one do you prefer, the t8 or t7 large chamber?

Dzięki. Whalum ostatnio grywa na Jody Jazz Hr 8 ale i tak najbardziej pasowało mi jego brzmienie na metalowych ustnikach - kwestia gustu :)
