Well done Sir...
Nice video.
This Amp is so underrated.
Very instructive, nice job, bravo from France !
Excellent diagnosis. Thank you
Really nicely done video. Video. Much thanks
2:35 Important point to note: the schematic diagram has a big mistake. The pins from the regulator are mirrored. They must be marked as Pin 1:Input, Pin 2: GND and Pin 3: Output.
Good eye @danielmelendrez1616. Thanks for pointing this out.
Great video! Thanks for making and sharing it.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Sorry to say, but I like the videos having a voice much more over the background music ones. Cheers.
Me too Peter. Some of the clips had distorted audio so I decided to go no-talking for the entire video. The next video will have talking again.
@@dualityrepair4770 Thanks for clarifying. Looking forward. Enjoy the weekend.
I think it was a nice change and fun to watch. I liked the music, too. Either way works Nick.
👍👍😎✌️🤟 I have that whole system from that time period. I wish you were located a little closer to Bowling Green, KY. I would offer you some work.
Great video.... Always I'm surprise how the power supply is very very important in amplifier and hi-fi. Thanks!
Wow nice work. I might have to try something like that on my Parasound. Maybe after I watch all of your videos lol.
Great video! I’m surprised though that you replaced the 78xx using a thermal pad instead of thermal paste as pin 2 and the heat sink is connected
Those Power Envelope amps can be very difficult to diagnose and repair.
Incredible that a $0.78 part can shut down the entire amp and render it unusable.
Exactly. And people will get rid of equipment like this, not knowing how inexpensive a repair can be.
id build my öwn cäp$... but i doubt the nöbell? jap? nippöneese ones would be diy / cönRäded? . ? öhr are they that chip tvv0??
What happened to the accompanying dialogue? The silence was deafening.
Next time. Had some clips with poor audio quality.
After watching Mend it Mark vids, RUclips sent me to your channel which I’m really enjoying. As a non-technical person could someone please explain to me why it’s necessary to replace the electrolytic caps? Is it because they have a limited lifespan or will new caps actually improve the performance of the amp even if the caps themselves have not yet gone bad? Thanks in advance for any explanation!
Good question. Electrolytic caps do have a life-span, usually much more so than other components. They have an electrolyte liquid / paste inside that dries out over time. As it dries, the capacitors performance degrades.
@@dualityrepair4770 thanks for your reply, that answers my question perfectly.
Thou shalt check voltages! Good work. I second what @peter.stimpel said below. Verbiage is better.
Don't like the 'silent' format would much prefer your thoughts....What @peter.stimple says !.....cheers.
