Hello, I have an amplifier that has been subjected to reverse polarity. I’ve opened it up but not sure how to go about what to test. It has power but very weak sound, what can I do for process of elimination to find the fault?

reverse polarity will mean you should check the pfc circuit such as MoVs and capacitors. But the best way to eliminate is through voltage injection with a power supply to rule out possible problems.

hi what does it mean when my amp protects when u just connect the power cables only and turns off

It means the amplifier is protecting itself from a potential faulty part or faulty connections . To make any suggestions i will like to get more information about the problem.

Such as ? Today i tried and fix it saw that my not sure what it called but my wall where my components connect was burned so i fixed it nou the components are dead so i cant get them I'm goodlle the diode i assume

it could be a diode or a burnt resistor. you will have to open it up and have a closer look.
