WDM Diesel looks more high standard than electric engines. Diesel engines like WDM has true capability of running 160 kmph only if track signal is very clear and if permission is given allowed to run 160 kmph. Whenever most of the time WDM comes in a mood position of running 160 kmph it is found by the loco pilots they get information that the line signal is not clear . This most of the time doesn't happens with wap electric engines .
Alcos were the real supporters of indian railway in past and still give their contribution ,but railway doesnt cares they says that alcos produce a lot of polution and this reason makes no sense , i love alco locomotives ,in simple words alcos are real beast and will have a special place in every railfans hearts
