Rosie, don't sleep with contact lenses in, I did that once and the lenses had to be surgically removed as they had moved to the back of my eye. Also Laura Dix is my new favorite Dix. Sorry Rose.

i nap in contacts all the time so this is particularly horrifyying... i once spent like 72 hours with contacts in although it was an all-nighter

Nope it’s not a British thing at all. Lol that would be totally weird. It’s partly for humour/ habit, and partly because we don’t know these people it’s the internet, they’re identifying the ‘characters’ in their videos so you know who’s who if that makes sense 😊

Finally watched Carol today, luckily a small theater across the street from my college campus is showing it this week so I went right after class. I love it! Cried a little too.

4:10 When you're American and temporarily confused why Laura's talking about "taking the wrong seat" and then Google tells you that theaters in other countries have assigned seats. *Mind blown* Here you just sit wherever you want BUT you have to get there 15-30 minutes early if you want to snag a good seat depending on how busy they are. The only theaters here with assigned seats are high end, speciality type ones that offer dinner service, chair service, recliners etc and those are even more expensive. I already have to pay $12 for a popcorn I don't want to pay another $50 for tickets and food thanks! Haha 😜
