I don't understand why people have been hating on DaOn. It's not like he doesn't want to be with Tae but because he isn't really 'loved' by his parents, he tries to get validation from other people all the time. So when everyone started making jokes about him, he went through an identity crisis because he wasn't used to being joked about or made fun of. I genuinely hope he can get the strength to get over this :D
It's cos people see him as a threat to their ship. Remember the show started with a Shinwoo and Tae moment so people have already invested into the idea that they are endgame. Daon coming out of nowhere and stealing Tae's heart threatened that notion and hence the hate he got. Him hurting Tae due to his identity crisis just gave people a solid reason to point and say "Look, we said it, he is no good". But from the get go, people started nursing a grudge when they realized he was a threat to the Shinwoo and Tae ship.

I asked myself several times why Shinwoo felt the need to be a jerk to Tae and couldn't find a solid reason hence why I jumped ship. I also noticed that during his "jerk" moments, most people excused his behavior as a way of dealing with his attraction for Tae. I mean, some even saw it as cute, which again I found weird. He could have just stayed away from Tae instead of being an a**. Then when Daon rejected Tae due to pressures from everyone including the whole darn school and his parents people were like "He is a bad person!". I was like "what!? really!?", At least if you are going to play judge, jury and executioner keep the same energy in both cases. You can't excuse one bad behavior and punish another. At least in Daon's case there were literal pressures directed squarely at him. I mean, even the teacher was in his business and from the way the teacher was talking, I think his parents were huge financial donors for the school and the school was scared they would loose funding if his parents decided to withdraw him from the school due to the scandal. This whole thing is just ridiculous.

Also, nowadays they like to put forth the argument that "Shinwoo's love is pure and he has always understood Tae while DaOn cut himself off from the world as soon as his reputation was in turmoil". If Shinwoo's love is so pure and he is so wonderful at understanding Tae, why did the initial dispute between them last so long? Tae repeatedly told him he was sorry and that he didn't mean to hurt him but he never gave into that. The glorification of presumptuous and just outright rude behaviour in the bl world runs rampant.

I feel like people really don't even understand a fraction of what's at stake for daon and how this is his first time experiencing these feelings for a boy whereas the other 2 have had time to make peace with their feelings. he wasn't even given time to process it all and then shinwoo was right there to scoop up taekyung. it just makes me feel sorry for him. daon has sohee who is just a toxic person to have around and parents who refuse to give him attention and on top of that he has to come to terms with a reality that won't be easily accepted by people around him. I mean shinwoo is a great guy and taekyung deserves to be happy but the way ppl just fail to understand daon's situation makes me frustrated lol

Instead of appreciating the beautiful work and development that Daon has had, he has been through too much and just because he was insecure and rejecting Tae they already hate him Anyway, team Daon until the end because he really is the character with whom I've connected the most
He had a choice to make, be honest with who he is and who he likes, or not. But he was never completely honest with anyone. And on top of that, he behaved really badly sometimes just to cover up. He may liked Taekyung but he never really loved him and that makes the whole difference.

Tae Gyeong is facing something new after discovering a new part of himself and gathering courage just to be crashed. Meanwhile Shin Woo struggles as well, but he'll just be there even if it hurts

people don't understand that daon practically got outed before he even understood himself??? because he was had such an awful relationship w his parents he was desperate for validation, so when people started hating him simply bcus of baseless rumors he was struggling so much he couldn't even come to terms with himself. he was not a villan. he was a normal human being reacting the way anyone else would have. he was literally going to accept taekyung's feelings, we saw that when he accepted the bracelet so happily and even kissed his forehead when sleeping. i'm happy for his ending but i kind of wish he ended up with taekyung. it almost felt like taekyung dated shinwoo out of pity with the way he said (i paraphrase) "shinwoo was there for me so it's time i return the favor"

I have never disliked an ending of a series like the way i hated this one. I even skipped the last two episodes just to see who ends up with Tae. I mean come on Tae spent almost the whole series with Da On how come he ends up with Shinwoo in just like the last two episodes. I was team Shinwoo at the beginning but after his complicated behaviours i changed my ship and am still hurt i probably won't watch it again.
