What a privilege for you to be able to dive and explore where there’s so much historical value, thank you for demonstrating respect and gratitude towards the men that sacrificed so much for so many. What a beautiful place!
Hey awesome video man , I'm a local islander of Saipan and alot of us really enjoy watching historic documentary type vids whether it's official or not. Also Thank you for not damaging any coral on the anchor part, really appreciate it man
Freediver HD your cuts back and forth from story to dive captured the spirits! Thank you for the long closes of the wreck....and research footage. I'm holding back the tears...Our Boys!
Man I was just there for Memorial Day, Saipan is beautiful and the living history there is unreal. Thanks for posting, if I ever go back I will try to get out to see this amtrac. Keep up the great work, brother!
My dad was stationed there during WWII. At the end they were instructed to push all the fighting gear into a big sand pit on the island rather than bring it back. He didn't talk about it much.
Yeah its shallow, but it was the only american wreck I visited in the lagoon - so I really wanted to share its story. For those who wanted to see something deeper - The remaining wrecks of the series are Japanese and lying in deeper water. So stay tuned for the next episode.
Hey am from saipan this was when the storm pass and your at tanapag I was 9 I like going to that ship that was wreck by the storm also I like going on those houses like from world War 2 I found a bomb too!! And I love going to tank beach and marine beach mostly forbidden island and birds island and grotto I also like going to the train near the ocean I like going to suicide cliff and banzai cliff but I left saipan😭and I went to the states I hate it here I wish I could go back I miss my dad my mom and dad are divorce that's why I left and I had this nephew he's chammoro like me and we always go crab hunting in the night and afternoon after bingo and I try to take out that bomb out of the water but I couldn't do it and I like going spear fishing when I was ten years old and when I catch crabs I like bringing it to my dad and he cooks it and we eat
Scouting site via drone, locating directions via GPS and then self kayak to site. My kind of adventure. Video production is so good now plus the educational value. Big ups to you for your time and effort. Probably the only remaining recreational (not spearfishing/training/competitive) freedive channel on RUclips worth watching.
Very nice !! I really apreciate your videos, in my opinion, you deserve more than one million subscribers!! thank you Dean for sharing with us these experiences!!
Phenomenal videos! I always look forward to watching your videos. Can you share some advice on how you train for your dives and maintain your abilities to hold your breath and C02 resistance levels? Would love to see some videos on this too!
You can download an apnea training app on your smartphone - that will keep you busy for awhile. Freedive training can get boring - unless you have a core group of people you that you can train with, and enjoy hanging out with. Personally, I do not do any training what so ever. I just learned the basic skills, and apply them when diving, and its enough for what I want to do.
Freediver I am subscribed but I never really see your videos, when you're actually here on Saipan I usually see them like months later but I love your videos. !! I hope to meet you one day here on Saipan cause it's where I live and is home .. keep up the great work!!!!
This is an excellent video again Dean, nice editing and great (constructive) use of technology. If funds allowed (maybe one day) I would plan to travel by boat to likely islands looking for new wrecks. A drone would help immensely with this. Best wishes, Dean
well, just that there is only 1 left. You can see another amtrak in the final part of this series, though its on land. You can see another 2 on pervious Guam videos of mine. As for this one in the lagoon, I think the others were destroyed, broken up, disintergrated by typhoons, recovered, etc... who knows.
This is actually a amtank. The amtanks had m8 Scot turrent on the lvt4 chasi for taking out enemy defenses and infantry support. The amtraks had the engine in the front and troops in the back and was armed with 3 30 caliber machine guns and 2 50 caliber machine guns
Sorry, I dont have a name. I ripped the sound from somebody elses video on vimeo. I wish I had the name, cause this sound clip is only 1 minute long, I wish I had the full tune and the name!! if anyone know its and could tell me that would be awesome.
Greeat video, i do hope one day i can travel over there. Btw, can you make like bubbles? Idk if u know what i mean, i think there is a video on my channel about that, try it out! Haha, medditerranean sea is waiting for you!
In the first part of this video that area has alot deaths there because drop and bump there head all the way to the and causes them die, so not a place not jump in, nor like the banzai cliff and the other areas
No I have not...I think those pools are awesome. If it was outside my house I think I would enjoy going there, but I dont think I would do the travel just to swim in a pool.
The hardest part is equalizing your ears. If you can do that successfully, then the course is quite easy. Holding your breath etc, is quite easy. Thanks for all the comments on the vids. all the best with your diving.
No it does not........ that's why I am having trouble to upload recently, because I just don't have the funds to produce videos often. There will be one new video coming soon though, so keep an eye out for it.

most shallow wreck of the of the series - next episode is in deep water. thanks for watching!
Freediver HD your cuts back and forth from story to dive captured the spirits! Thank you for the long closes of the wreck....and research footage. I'm holding back the tears...Our Boys!
Thanks for sharing in such a special way and thanks to our men for their sacrifice. Never forgotten.

New wreck vid coming next week! Maybe you will enjoy it.

My dad was stationed there during WWII. At the end they were instructed to push all the fighting gear into a big sand pit on the island rather than bring it back. He didn't talk about it much.
Your video quality is simply amazing.
Wow, great video! Thank you for giving us this look at Pacific region WW2 history.
Thanks for all the comments and support!
Great job documenting this find
Yeah its shallow, but it was the only american wreck I visited in the lagoon - so I really wanted to share its story. For those who wanted to see something deeper - The remaining wrecks of the series are Japanese and lying in deeper water. So stay tuned for the next episode.

This is an excellent video again Dean, nice editing and great (constructive) use of technology. If funds allowed (maybe one day) I would plan to travel by boat to likely islands looking for new wrecks. A drone would help immensely with this. Best wishes, Dean
Thank you for sharing,.
Why is there only one?
My Dad was with the 27th Division Army and he took part in moving north fron Tanapang toward Marpi.

By the way, what's a good budget dive watch/computer to start out with? I'm planning on taking a course.
Been a long time since I looked at the prices of dive computers, my Sunnot D4i was $580 back in 2014...
Hey man love all ur vids , what gopro did you use? And did u use any filter? Flashlight? Or something else? Cheers
Always im waiting your video mana, welcome to Indonesia in Sulawesi ☺☺☺

What fins are you using and is rather hard or soft sheet?
Is there any cheap waterproof flashlight that you would recommend (up to 20m is enough)?

does youtube pay enough to you for your travelling debts?
No it does not........ that's why I am having trouble to upload recently, because I just don't have the funds to produce videos often. There will be one new video coming soon though, so keep an eye out for it.
