That's a valid point in my opinion. I'm a Liverpool fan and I'd love him to go to Liverpool, but if he wanted to stay in Germany yeah why would he leave Leverkusen? I just don't see why he'd go to Bayern Munich...

People don't get that most of the leverkusen players won't stay there after this season. Big clubs will come and take them away. It's how things work. He most probably won't be working with the same level of players in the next season and it will be a rebuild. So it is not a surity that all will work out.

As Liverpool fan, I think Alonso is a bit "too green" for the Liverpool job, it may ruin him for good, should he underperform! Even the Bayern Munich job could prove to be too toxic for a young manager. The best for him is to stay at Leverkusen, win the Bundesliga and at least take Leverkusen to the semis of the Champions League

No, he's basically guaranteed to win the league if he goes to Bayern. Staying at Leverkusen his stock will fall if they drop off next season, and don't forget they'll probably lose players.

its true, bayern and real madrid jobs opens up every three years. Liverpool job doesnt come around so often. Not that liverpool are bigger than either but if he wants to manage liverpool at some point in his career.
This is one of the best opportunities, with the squad we have. I dont expect liverpool to have a good squad at a later point in time

That's because expectations at FSG Liverpool are not as high as they are at Munich or Madrid. FSG are content with UCL qualification and the fans are content with worshipping god (like Fowler, Owen and Gerrard) instead of celebrating success. 🤣🤣🤣

    • @WhyWouldYouCareYT

that is utterly wrong. The reason you believe that is because you take Klopp as example. But he has been liverpools most stable and longest succesfull acting coach ever.
Thats not the same for xabi alonso. Hed come in as a new face with utter pressure to perform after a now rather long time of high level but yet still stagnation and mediocrity at liverpool. Hed be there under the same pressure. Now yes ofocurse theres gonna be Prem clubs that will be even worse from that perspective like ets say chelsea or man utd. But the best step for alonso lets be honest. IS and always was after going to leverkusen, bayern munich. It is the same league the same structures only stronger and bigger.
Its the perfect next step objectively.

Why do you think he should leave? He’s just starting a turnaround at Leverkusen. I think he needs to win the league 2-3 times plus consistently get into knock stage of CL before moving to a bigger team/league. How many times have we seen these fledgling managers go to a bigger team and not do that well? (Gerrad, Lampard, etc). Be patient and develop your CV first. It’s possible that this season’s Leverkusen is a blip and Munich will win the next 10 seasons again. after. The last time Munich lost the league were in the days of Klopp.

well because theres not gonna be much left of that team youre talking about after next summer. And hed have to start all a new anyway. The team has been just TOO succesfull for players not getting picked apart by munich by city by madrid and others.
Also Bayern munich for example would be the same league. Its just a lot bigger more ressources and a firm team that cant really be bought apart the same way as Bayer will be because it doesnt really get any higher than Munich. So there hed have a true base to actually gain all the pedigree that he hopes to achieve. With a team like leverkusen...that just will never be truly possible. Just like ajax or benfica. Its just these teams that come up and make a splash every once and so often. but then get utterly walleted by the bigger clubs and have to start by 0 really. Its their business model...

@@user-lf6cf2ro4i Umm so he should stay and finish 4rd or 4th with Leverkusen next year lol how is that going to help his cause? He has opportunities to move to elite clubs right now. Liverpool, Bayern and Madrid are three of the biggest clubs in the world and they all might want to take him up right now. Also moving to Bayern is going to be very easy anyways. ITs a1 team league and he is sure to win that league if he is any good any ways.
Not to mention everyone who has taken up a big club job after initial success has always gotten a second opportunity.
Lastly Kompany what are you on about?

@@harrismazari5484 🙄If he finishes 4th in his second season then that further proves he’s not ready for the pressures and expectations of the top clubs. Besides just because other coaches have been able to find success or get another opportunity after moving to a top team doesn’t mean all of them do because again most don’t.
Also Madrid have Carlo lock down for two more years Bayern Munich are shambolic at the board and ownership level not too mention he would have to deal with the egoistic players that are there which I’m not so sure he can handle that as a young coach, Vincent Kompany is currently the coach of premier league club Burnley (they are obviously not a top club but they are competing in the prem so that needs to be taken into consideration) who are battling relegation.
