Just FYI the Tkachuk hit on Kassian was legal and not cheap. What was dirty was Beating the shit out of a helmetless, defenseless player clearly not even wanting the fight. Tkachuk won that play cuz Kassian got penalized he didn't, Kassian got fined Tkachuk didn't and if I remember we scored on that power play. Kassian has a reputation for being a meathead with a low IQ tho... McDavid even yelled heads up if you listen closely cuz he saw Tkachuk nearby it's just Kassian is a menace to society. Tkachuk best rivalry imo was with Drew Doughty.
I've followed you for a while but you have to see Matt Cooke and his dirty plays because he would use his knee to break guys legs and this happend multiple times a season. He may be one of the worst people in modern day hockey.

You need to remember, the players getting 'cheap-shotted' in this video are the ones who are known for cheapshots and shenanigans, and for the most part these are payback hits. The NHL is unique in that the referees AND the players police their own game. Subsequent discipline aside, knowing that another player will retaliate later in the game, series, season or even a year later helps keep the game clean (for the most part). Don't go head-hunting if you want yours to stay where it is.

Precisely why I don't feel the least bit bad for shit happening to players like Corey Perry or Matt Cooke. I'm not a believer in karma, though it does put a smile on my face seeing certain individuals get what they deserve. Don't like receiving cheap shots? Don't dole them out in the first place. Quite simple, really.

Domi was no rat. He never backed down from anything, or anyone, ever. Tough as nails. He was no angel, but he would at least stand up for his cheap shots. Frankly, I think he did the cheap stuff to get the other teams tough guy to fight him. I am the furthest thing from a Domi fan that you could imagine, but you have to respect him, and that giant square block of concrete he called a head.

Perry, Cooke, Marchand, Avery, etc are notorious in the league for being dirty players, so that is why they are being targeted so often by opponents
The last Cooke one at the point where the video shows why Neil went after Cooke, you can see Cooke *step* on Karlsson's left achilles tendon. Dude is wearing skates and he slices Karlsson's tendon with it. IIRC it was a really long rehab for Karlsson for that injury.

When you have a hard time feeling bad for most of these guys cuz they are some of the dirtiest players themselves.
Marchand used to make some very questionable choices that even as a bruins fan made me question his sanity but he has cleaned up his act the past 5 plus years. Dude is just a pure goal scorer now and assistant captain. I love seeing the hate on this mans name even though anyone would take him on there team even at a high price

2:40: Adam, the boards are not made of metal. It used to be actual boards, but the last 500 years it's been high density polyethylene (granted, with some steel reinforcements. But the player don't hit those parts). The boards actually move quite a bit when you hit it. But if you hit it at fifteen miles n hour head firsts, it doesn't really matter.
