The best origami rose I've seen, have been making this one for years. To master this I've been even using the bus tickets during the travel to school... but I've forgotten after a while. So lucky to still have this online!
it takes the wise hands of an origami expert to do something so delicate as this rose... keep trying and never give up, for one thing origami teaches (other than snow balls in the trash can) is patience and practice...
this is the first tutorial i saw that actually made sense... even though it's so fast and there are no instructions. somehow i actually ended up making a rose!!
Thanks, I learned how to make this beautiful rose and believe it or not, it's so easy. The trick for those who didn't get it; Watch the instructor the instructor first and after follow the shape of the rose and then you will get it.
I mean, sure, his video titles are in English, yet that doesn't mean he speaks it. Regardless of that, I enjoy watching him make origami. It's very soothing and also creative. It inspires me to do my own.
I had to rewind everything back and pause to make sure i followed every single step. The last few steps were a little hard but my rose turned out pretty much okay. Just a tip, try to slow down or add subtitles if you are shy to talk. But overall awesome tutorial. :D
I made it easy from 2:29, once you start to fold it in circles, keep going until you make the rose shape...really makes it a lot easier than to keep folding it like you did...I mean, I was way inpatient to do the additional steps! :P
nice video. Thanks. I always watch origami videos with the sound off, so I didn't notice that you don't talk until I saw the comments! You are pretty good!
Maybe it would be easyier when you talk to us and show us the build of the origami figures slower. It's to hard, for someone who isn't good as you. By the way your figures are awesome
I got most of it up until the rolling bit because my paper went all funky and rolled up and it didn't work, so a little bit of explanation or captions would be nice :D
I lol when I remember the days when I was a total noob in origami and was still in youtube tutorials stage... now 100 advanced-complex models later this is too simple, but back then it was a pain to fold this rose...
I've epic failed for about the billionth time on folding one of these...Even after 5 years of trying this model still beats me...Well at least this time I made something that resembles something along the lines of a volcano instead of it ending up as a rock...Which is really a huge improvement for me XD
Hey you guys don't bash it till you try it. I was fumbling around with the written instructions for weeks and i made a beautiful perfect rose after watching this once. :D
ur doing it the hard way bro O_o or atleast its harder for me. im trying to learn more ways to make a rose and im pretty good at paper folding and with this mine looked like a snow ball D:
Feel like crying after watching this for over 10 times and still couldn't get it right =_= grats to those who succeed... Imma find me another easier rose...
the first 5 seconds took me 5 minutes. I clicked this video because all the others were 20 minutes long and this one was only six... Now I understand why. It was a big mistakes, he's squished 20 minutes of folding into five.
Ok, for everyone saying that it's too fast, there's this amazing little invention called a pause button. If you scroll over the video a little black bar that has a button with two vertical lines, or upward lines if you dont know what that means. Pressing this will cause the video to stop in place so you can catch up, then pressing it again will make it go again. And if you get lost again you can use the button again to catch up. Yay technology :D
If you've tried watching other video tutorials and know how to make roses with the Kawasaki twist, you'll see that it's somehow the same but the person who made this video did not do the pre-creasing. But it's a pretty simple rose to make. It doesn't look that pleasing anyway, so don't get frustrated, guys. :) Watch other tutorials. :D
i think thisd is the best demonstration, coz all the others 1 make u do a thousand folds and you get confused will all the folds thats have been done and dont know which one to follow evn the paper gets confused lol
lol my comment is the highest rated!! xD and i think they way they made the rose in this vid is the easiest way to make the rose. in other vids, you have to make a million creases and you need to cut the paper, its confusing @.@ but i found this vid really helpful :P
this is the advanced version, the simplified version is 1. Fold a peice of the finest origami paper in half 2. place in the palm of your left (not right!) hand 3. close left hand and squeeze tightly 4. open hand, and boom origami rose
Wow! And I was so optimistic at the beginning of this video... I even got right up to the, just couldn't get the petal to go IN!!!! GRRRRR... Depressed for the rest of the day now :( Excellent movie by the way!
Before ASMR I'd listen 2 this

HOLY CRAP!! I think I will try to make that but I don't think that it will come out that well!! Great Job by the Way!!!!!
It may not be that great as a tutorial, but watching this video makes my eyes feel good.
The wrapping around part is damn difficult! But he can do it so perfectly :(
I made it easy from 2:29, once you start to fold it in circles, keep going until you make the rose shape...really makes it a lot easier than to keep folding it like you did...I mean, I was way inpatient to do the additional steps! :P

I can't keep up with you, gotta constantly rewatch the piece where i'm at.
wow thats so pretty, but most of us cant get past folding something in half :P
Maybe it would be easyier when you talk to us and show us the build of the origami figures slower. It's to hard, for someone who isn't good as you.
By the way your figures are awesome
صراحة ...ماشاء الله ..
فعلا إبداع ..بس لكن موسهلة

I got most of it up until the rolling bit because my paper went all funky and rolled up and it didn't work, so a little bit of explanation or captions would be nice :D

WARNING: Not as simple as he makes it look!!
But in the end, I managed to pull it of. Great video!

I lol when I remember the days when I was a total noob in origami and was still in youtube tutorials stage... now 100 advanced-complex models later this is too simple, but back then it was a pain to fold this rose...
Your paper is better than mine!
It's cool in the end... But next you probably don't want to have your hands covering up what your doing cuz then people don't know what your doing...
Dude: Nothing is hard,it's just ourselves being volatile, impatient as the saying goes, and as Napoleon said:"Nothing is ImPossible!"
this is amazing. can you open a origami class for us to learn this?
This is really nice
That was so funny I almost passed out.
It doesn't matter now, I can't make them.
It's amazing to see what people can do these day's!!
Much better than a different vido I saw on the rose.
This is genius - I tried, failed miserably, think i'll stick with my cranes!
you have nice hands
This Kind Of Origami Was One Of The Best But Defiitely One Of The Hardest
I've epic failed for about the billionth time on folding one of these...Even after 5 years of trying this model still beats me...Well at least this time I made something that resembles something along the lines of a volcano instead of it ending up as a rock...Which is really a huge improvement for me XD

I made that for a girl that I was interested. She couldn't belive it. Real chick magnet.

Okay. At 1:39, where are you folding? Are you using the little box on the back or what? Thanks for your help, baschlesser
the first 5 seconds took me 5 minutes. I clicked this video because all the others were 20 minutes long and this one was only six... Now I understand why. It was a big mistakes, he's squished 20 minutes of folding into five.
That'd look exactly like mine... if you burn the paper.
holy crap.. i sat there for like an hour
but i finally made the rose!!!!
although it looks like it got ran over by a truck....
I FEEL SO PROUD! :D
Thanks for sharing! I would be able to fold it, if you used a coloured paper on the wrong side, so your creases would show on camera.
awesome

I realized what to do with my nails when I started learning origami....

Looks like he is struggling half way through the rose
:P
master, i don't think i am ready for the rose!

I for one like the way Super1600 made this because it has no base folds in it and is just hand molding.I was able to pull it off very well.
Not bad
I like those hand :D
i think thisd is the best demonstration, coz all the others 1 make u do a thousand folds and you get confused will all the folds thats have been done and dont know which one to follow evn the paper gets confused lol
i cant get passed one minute of this damn thing!
lol my comment is the highest rated!! xD

Thats what the pause button is for
*smart-ass smirk *

@xbluanchovyx
Yes, the explanation its so easy and clear that he almost doesnt need to speak
Can you tell me what materials you used and to what extent are the papers?
whew, FINALLY. a lot of patience = flower that doesn't die. let's hope i don't step on this shit...or there's a fire.
Wow........ Soooooo....... Hardddd........, but it's awesome....., i want to make for my homework. Did i have to give up?? But its real good
Cool! I made beautiful rose! :D
haha cool, i did it!! thanks man, i gave the flower that i made to my gf and she loved it
it's very easy to do if you watch it first and go at your own pace, going back if you need to see a certain part again
I'm going to make a bunch of these for my mam for mother's day since I'm broke.
