    Wasn’t Beer also necessary because it was sterilized during the brewing process and Clean water is actually relatively New concept since most of surface water is tainted and not until the invention of the well was fresh water so easily obtained

      Yes! i learned that in college. The beer was actually fresh not fermented and less strong.
