I'm sorry but this is not the 3rd and, as "thelightfromheaven" said, there is no doubt about it. I would really enjoy if you listened this video after 0:14 and compared it with Richter's interpretation (not my favourite one but it's just an example!) of 2nd concert at 0:37. Write Sviatoslav Richter plays Rachmaninov Concerto No.2, Op.18 and open the first link you find.
How lucky for Rachmaninov that he doesn't have to listen to total mismatch. It's neither good Rachmaninov nor good jazz. Note to my favorite musicians Kenny Barron, Ron Carter and Lewis Nash - come back to jazz! Classical music is not your forte.
vova47 don't talk as if opinion and fact are the same. can you tell me why this is bad jazz? If you find something bad that's fine, but in what way IS this bad?
@@emiliocallies2712 This is not bad jazz, especially once they start playing jazz at about 1:54. Kenny Baron is the man and I've seen him live. I just don't think they interpret Rachmaninov's music authentically.
@@iamalittlespy Why should they, music is often translated into new genres or changed (max richter's seasons for example) transformation is the source of most art forms (Romeo and Juliet, the bible, etc.) It's fine if he thinks this is bad jazz, but to take it as fact not so.
PURE GENIUS! Thanks for uploading!
