Difference between the 120i and 125i or the 30i's is the Compression ratio, the 120i has higher compression - 11:1, while the 25i or 30i models have a 10:1 Lower compression , the pistons are different, it's not just a detune. I also have a tuned B48 120i , its advisable to keep the Torque below 400n.m , boost should be lower and use Timing to control the power and correction factor. Due to the higher compression its not reliable on the Piston Walls if there is high amounts of boost.
I'm a bit worried about long term reliablity here. The B48 in the 20i is the ML (Mittlere Leistungsklasse) and the 25i is the OL (Obere Leistungsklasse), so it has stronger rods, pistons, a different crankshaft and other bearings than the 20i. And 48hp + 150 NM seems quite a lot for it not being the OL. The transmission should not have a problem with it because it's made for up to 500NM.

Yes, the geometry of the pistons are different, but the used materials are the same. I already discussed this some comments before..
i had to change the pistones to 30i on my 20i. cylinder 1 went out of service 😂😂😂

No it actually improves, But if you floor the car, you are allowing more power that stock and that’s what will result in more fuel consumption

N20 oder B48?
B48
it is unfair tbh the non stage one had more fuel in it so it weighs more

My BMW 125D F20 are much faster then this.
makes sense, u have a 125d and not a 125i
125d is only faster at low speed because of huge torque. But for 0-100 and more , the 125i will be faster
