    THANK YOU. My mom has these super pretty crocheted snowflake ornaments and I wanted to learn how to make them. Super easy to follow instructions for someone who hasn't crocheted in ages. Time to make it snow!

    I have made large and medium 3D paper snowflakes and now I’m crocheting my smaller ones using various patterns. I’m hanging them in my front bay window with light as a winter wonderland. Thank you for this pattern…beautiful snowflake!!! Stay safe and be blessed ❤

      Thank you! For me it depends on what the item is for that gets stiffened. For snowflakes and other small decorations I prefer sugar. It’s less messy 😊 But if the item needs constructed or is not flat, like a bowl or a house shape, then glue because it can be stronger.

    I made it! the only problem I had is that you only explain one time to do it, and I had to rewing every time, because for me it was hard to remember just with one time explanation. I came it out very nice. thanks, hello from Panama.

    This is my favorite snowflake pattern. I made so many to hand out as gifts. I must have made over fifty last year to hand out. Now it is September and it is time to start making them again! Last year I started in November and I barely had enough time, lol!

    Thank you! So quick and easy! The first time I just watched and wrote out the pattern which made it even easier. I stiffened them with a mixture of mod podge and water and added a bit of glitter for a special effect. My students are going to love them!

      That's great! Yes, glitter adds to them, I sometimes add the glitter to the starching when it is still wet. I use glue.

      I have the yarn running inside my 3 fingers. I use those fingers to tighten the yarn as needed. That way you don't have any unnecessary movements in your hands.

    first picot at 3.07 the patrn ends at 5.29 simply repeat the patern .

    After you add the stiffening, do you block it to dry?

      Glad you don't mind an accent of Finnish mixed with Northern Irish 😄
      after I add stiffening, often just boiled sugar or white glue, I spread it out to dry. Have fun making snowflakes!

    Im confused so its uk treble? Double and ttrble two different stitches ehich one for uk,?

      Yes, the first round is trebles using the English term. In US terms that is double crochet. One yarn-over. In my newer videos I use the US terms, in this one was primarily using the English term. I know it's confusing, I wish it wasn't so that the same term means a different thing!!

      Good you were abe to follow easily :) I used two different thicknesses. Both were crochet yarns. The thicker one was 100 g / 332 m in weight (3.5 oz/ 360 yards), the thinner one lace weight crochet thread.
