I’m only in my 2nd semester of my freshman year & I already have a complete understanding of intermediate 1,2 learning through textbooks. However the advanced accounting textbooks have been a bit hard to comprehend and you have simplified the concept. Thank you

Why are we reducing income on the investment line item for unsold inventory relating to a downstream sale instead of reversing the revenue and costs associated with the initial sale at the parent level?

What if two subsidiaries trasact with each other? Or two associates transact with each other?
