They've got some pictures of the wrong spider in this video. Joro spiders are not the same as banana golden silk spiders or yellow garden spiders (with the zigzag in their web)
I hope they reach my state (KY). I like spiders and want one as a pet. Also, Joro spiders are so pretty! The more I find out about them the more I'm like, "Want!" They're shy, docile, cute, and they eat the really bad insects like stinkbugs and mosquitos. Every now and then I try to find out new info about the "invasion" in hopes they'll start showing up in Kentucky. Unfortunately it doesn't look like they'll show up here. :(
Yo man if I could, I would mail you some of mine. Two of them just popped up on my porch and by my front door and I certainly don’t want them. I appreciate that they eat stink bugs. But, they creep me out. Greetings from Georgia.
Actually the joros are killing native spiders, hummingbirds are being caught in their webs (although joro may/may not eat hummingbird the hummingbird dies in the web). Native spiders and native hummingbirds are at risk because of joro invasion.
@@GD-Display brooooo so are Preying Mantis. You going to kill them as well? We have a lantern flies destroying our mable trees, the more the spiders the better.
