These boots are very warm, very comfortable, and very economical! Best of all the materials are made in Canada (it’s Canadian company) and the boot is built in the USA! We are very happy with them. Links to both the men's and women's boots shown are in our description above! Be sure the check them out. Thanks :-)
"Made in Canada and built in the USA"...confusing....can a boot be both made in one place and built somewhere else? Were the soles and uppers made in Canada and then sealed together in the USA?
pamtnman pamtnman it’s a Canadian company and materials are from Canada and they are built/constructed here in the USA. There’s a lot of companies that do the same thing. Thanks for watching 😊
@@CreatingASimplerLifeOffGrid got it, thank you for explaining. To me, "made" and "built" are the same thing, and I am leery of marketing ploys with sleight-of-word.
I work for kamik in the north eastern United States and we make these boots plus a whole bunch of other selections from rain boots and mud boots to winter boots, and being stylish. 🥰 They definitely are big, and they’re super warm, plus comfortable. Thank you for reviewing our products. I’m heading to work in a couple hours to stitch our heritage selection. You should check them out. I have a pair and I am not disappointed. 🖤 #kamik outdoor footwear
I never leave comments but for this one I had too!!! what a super detailed, informative and funny video! I was smiling the whole time, might of giggled a bit when he went in the puddle and slipped haha thanks for keeping it real guys!!
Great video! Thank you for taking out the time to make this! Great laughs! I was looking on Amazon for the womens Greenbay 4 Kamik boots. Overall, would you suggest to size down from normal size? Thank you!
Thanks! And I’d definitely suggest a size down based on the fact I had to exchange mine, but it’s been a few years now and I still have these same boots so there’s a chance they’ve changed the sizing.
I've I've never heard of these, but am always looking for good boots! It looked like you were doing some hiking, so were they supportive and comfortable enough for walk a few miles in? This was a great review and well put together - I enjoyed watching it! Thanks!
Thanks for watching. We really like these boots. We did walk about a mile or so and feet were still warm and comfortable but the terrain was very flat so would definitely recommend for that. They do not have support so you might want to add an insert but there is room for that if you need it. Not sure how they would be on rough snowy terrain yet.
An Aussie tuning-in to learn more about Winter boots (for some odd reason). Actually I have been impressed with the manufacturing quality from both Canada & the USA, so I believe you're on a winner with those boots. Almost 3 years down the track now since you bought them. Have they worked out good for you?
Probably do not come in half sizes because if you order a size up you can wear more socks... I just bought them... I'm in Canada and mine say made in Canada on all parts of the boot and they are rare for -74 degrees Celsius or -100 degrees Fahrenheit. They also are made with patent pending traction that does well on ice. Not sure why there is a difference.
Have a pair of Kamik Nation Plus with 3M Thinsulate and they are not as advertised for weather up to minus 40 degrees as I am in weather around 10-20 degrees above zero and my feet are freezing with 30 minutes of being in the snow, trying to shovel out driveways, decks, etc. Fit may be good, but what good is it when the boot does not keep your feet warm and dry?????
Wow! Sorry to hear that. Don't know that style boot but I have to say that the canuks (the ones wife and I both have) are extremely warm even below zero. We are still using the same boots this year and even being out there for hours in the cold we are both toasty warm. A really good pair of merino wool socks helps too! Hope you have a great weekend.
Thanks for the review. Are the liners really wool? They advertise as vegan and thought the liner was a thick felt type material, but your review says "wool".
Good point. I just did some thorough research (and trust me when I tell you they did not make it easy) only to find that the liners are actually called zylex. This is a material made by kamik and is basically layers of polyester felt and a layer of thermal foil. I just assumed felt was made of wool so my apologies. I will tell you though... they are warm and we still love them. Thanks so much for your question 👍
My son bought me a pair of your boots, say good for up to -40 degrees! I wear them to run the dog and feet get damp and cold right away!? Not impressed at all!!! And it isn't even close to -40 degrees yet. My feet will freeze ice fishing or snowmobiling!!! Guess have to get a different brand boot for sure!😡
Wow! So sorry to hear that. We use them for snowmobiling, hiking, snowshoeing and more and have never had a problem at all over the years! My feet have never gotten cold. I wear a pair of merino wool socks and with the wool liner and waterproof outer layer they’ve never gotten wet other than sweating a few times. Sounds like you got a ‘lemon’ pair😕
Creating A Simpler Life In The Adirondacks 16 and 12-gauge slugs work very well on both deer and bear. And you can carry a shotshell in the other barrel for grouse
@@adevore1971 i was lucky and i found an old pair of kamiks or sorrels. Back when they made em in canada. Boots nowadays dont last 30 years like the old ones.i would honestly recommend trying to get an older pair if theyre in good shape. I looked for a decent pair of boots for like a year. Nowadays theyre made to last a year or 2 if that
If they are slippery on ice than I guess it's a FAIL!....winter boots should provide you grip on ice...cuz u never know when there is blk ice or ice under snow and next thing you see is sky and than ceiling of hospital room...and if you put cleats on you will slip indoor...well u need balance I guess...well this is what we go through here in my beloved 🇨🇦CANADA.🇨🇦

Hi there, thank you for the great video. Going to get a pair I am a men’s size 10, so I should buy a size 10? Thank you.
We definitely need to invest in some winter boots now that we are so active. Thanks for the review I’ll be keeping those in mind.

They look good. Want some! Hubby really needs some of those. Think I will surprise him with a pair! Thanks!

They look like they would be very nice boots, glad you did the review. So if you wear a 10 1/2 you should order a size 10? Thanks for sharing.

Ok, Thanks!

Awesome Snow boots
Thanks!
Nice boots, love that easy lace system. For winter socks I recommend alpaca wool... much more comfortable, tougher, warmer. Peace!
Thanks! They do snug up nice and tight. Oooh....alpaca wool socks sound wonderful! Where would one find them? Peace to you as well!
I found merino wool socks from carhartt....I will let you know how they are! Still can't locate any alpaca socks though...
I've traditionally bought alpaca socks at boutique stores that sell wool clothing.. I've found several options on Amazon as well.
I wear the heck out of these. Everyday in snow.
That was a great showing.👍

-40 celcius is NOT -40 farenheit, is it?
Fun fact -40C is -40F
What is the price /pair
I’d have to look it up, I’m sure it’s more now than it was when we purchased them a few years ago.
You failed to mention what model boots these were, Kamik is the name of the brand, not the model.
It’s in the title of the video. Also a link in the description below the video.

Goat cheese sandwiches? Just curious here, what gauge shotgun would you say is best for the ADKs, you know, all-around use for grouse, deer, bear...
pamtnman pamtnman I would only use that for hunting grouse.

I wear a 10-10 1/2, and I wear and 8 in the Kamik boot. Weird.
It is weird but we did have a similar problem!
I imagine its pronounced ca-nuk as in most canuks are very friendly. not "ca-nook" but again this is just speculation.
