Well my friend i have a small question regarding a new set up for an inventory management system for a F&B brand. For instance if i am a client of a food and beverage company and I want to set up a system where every time a customer orders a product from my menu items, the inventory will be reduced and everything I make a purchase order to replenish the inventory the inventory levels will increase. I need a final dashboard that will show me my sum of purchases, units sold and finally the total sales in dollars, I also need to get notified when a specific inventory level is below a minimum threshold. Do i have to include Zapier in the process or would i be able to do independently on airtable?
just started an ecommerce business and trying to be as efficient as possible. I love airtable but still learning how to use it. the automation taught in this video is super cool and definitely something I'm going to try it after watching other videos explaining the other softwares you're using 😂 thank you again! This is amazing! Thanks for the tutorial, it was super helpful. I'm using this system to manage my parents' store inventory. However, some of our products don't have a barcode, but we'd like all of them to have one assigned. How would you create an automation to generate new barcodes for those items that don't have one?
What is the best way to manage bulk products, as in the same product but individual items with codes, how do you track those without usung a barcode in airtable?

Can I create table form to automatically count the number of times barcode scanned each time I scan my barcode and also automatically group the scanned item according to the types of item?
Hi Prakash, there's no way to know how many times you've scanned but if each scan creates a receipt, you can count the number of times an item is on a receipt (using count field). Then you can group by the number of sales per item (either use the number or create a formula that buckets -- 0 to 5 sales, 5 to 10 etc.)

Hi Andres, you can use a barcode generator! There are a bunch of free ones online

Hi Richard! That depends on what you want to track! if each item has a code you can use that instead of a barcode.

Why use Product ID when Barcode is unique on its own?

I use my iPhone camera to scan the barcode. It works 90%
