My Pops bought a very similar GTO brand new in '66, he used to let me drive it, cruising and racing SS 396's. Ours was candlelite cream (canary yellow) with a white convertible top, white interior with black rugs, deluxe interior with teakwood steering wheel, chrome accented pedals, console, and wood shift knob like this one. Ours had manual steering and brakes. M21 close ratio and a 4:33 posi rear. The best gas mileage we ever saw was 8 miles to the gallon short shifting with a very light gas pedal. GasTires&Oil. The car in this vid has a rare option, the Air Lift rear shock absorbers. You can see the filler valve when he drops the rear license plate. They kept the rear tires on the ground when speed shifting. Also, I seem to see mechanical linkage as opposed to the vacuum linkage that the '66's came from the factory with.
SaabKyle, I m writing on this page because you disabled the comments portion of the video of your sister getting the Chevy Cruze.Family is everything. It was so touching and cool to see your sister's reaction with her tears of joy when she looked at the Cruze. I am 52 years old and work my butt off for what I have. And let me tell you something!! I cried my eyes out when I bought all my cars, for MYSELF!!! Thanks!!! From JOEY
Just incase if people do not know, saabkyle04 is known for reviewing all sorts of vehiles. he has never favored one type of vehicles over another. he has reviewed multiple years of economy cars, trucks, sports cars, exotics, and muscle cars. i love watching videos on all of these vehicles and i will continue to do that without complaints. if you dont like a certain type of vehicle, dont watch it. its not the end of the world. he does not work for you, he works for himself, so get over it!
So beautiful. we use to have a 67 Bonneville. this video brings back memories. Long live the arrow head, the red interior lights, the indian head, and the Pontiac Muscle.
very well said my friend. I have seen kyle progress from lot videos at his family dealership to where he his today. He says it like it is and his information is unbelieveable. The one part of every video I wait for is his famous saying "lets see how she sounds".
Too many memories. My second car was a '67 convertible. with 400 ci quadrajet and Hurst dual gate turbohydromatic. Gas was 29 cents and then jumped to 49 cents when I sold it. Drove like a dream. Had the same basic dash with am radio! Woo Hoo!
hey kyle would like to thank you for uploading this video and all the other videos you do. I appreciate the time and effort you take into putting together these videos. Whenever I think of a car Id like to buy or im interested in I always come to your channel and 9 times out of 10 you have the video im looking for. thanks again
Little GTO, you're really lookin' fine Three deuces and a four-speed and a 389 Listen to her tachin' up now, listen to her why-ee-eye-ine C'mon and turn it on, wind it up, blow it out GTO
Awesome car, awesome video. I actually rode in this same model and year often as a kid, my older sisters husband had one. He let me drive it at 14 yrs old, I remember thinking the steering wheel was really big, lol...
Kyle you're amazing !! i love your videos and i totally watch em all :) i think if you could review the veyron ! it'll be a wish come true, because i don't really know a full information about it, and you're the best one to review cars man !. good luck !
Finally! great car! Keep it up! Coould you Please do a new GTO (the 2000's one) Very much apriciate and like your videos they are a great source of info!
hey kyle I just watched your sisters birthday surprise vid and I was thinking to myself the whole time that I knew you were dying to start talking about the car and do a review lol :P
Beautiful car there, Kyle. I love the styling they had back in the day. I remember my auto shop teacher had a '66 like this but his wasn't the Tri-Power version. Still though, it was also a bueutiful car.
Otherwise known as "hazards." It's a setting for the turn signals that makes them all blink at the same time and it's used to show distress, like if your car has broken down and you need to pull over to the side of the freeway. Alternatively, some people also use it to park anywhere they want, including loading zones and fire lanes.
What a legendary car, when will Americans gonna make cars like these again. The modern safety, aerodynamic, and other stuffs make cars nowadays become dull. Cars in the old days are pure fun and art. I am really impressed with classic American cars with their design and flares.
man..its hard to believe that soon one day our current gen cars will be considered "classics" just like these, but they'll never reach the legendary status that the 30-70's cars have. I'd kill for just a chevy nova SS, let alone one of these or the camaro or mustang of the same decade.
🎵Little GTO🎵You're really lookin' fine🎵Three deuces and a 4 speed🎵And a 389🎵Listen to her tachin' up now🎵Listen to her whine-yie-yine🎵Come on and turn it up, wind it up, blow it up🎵GTO🎵
Ohhh look at the beautiful Rivi there at 00:16. Kyle, how do you get these dealers to let you do all this with the cars, half the time dealers don't even let me look at nice ones for more then a minute.
That exhaust, man. Sounds so good!
man, they don't them like that anymore, beautiful.
Say what you will about Pontiac, they made some interesting cars.
And by interesting, I mean awesome! Firebird, Grand Prix, GTO, all excellent
Exactly and also the Bonneville.
Jeff Superglide Oh yeah! they also made the Grand Am, G6, G8
Shame GM killed it off. I'm sure it still had potential, but all good things come to an end eventually.
@@gentleman7407 which is why no one even pisses off on Chevy cars now days!! lol
Karma baby!!

It is an adjustable shift point. Basically you move it to the rpm you want to shift at. My grandpa has a 1965 tri power gto and it has the same thing
Very nice. Except for the tires, it looks extremely correct. Beautiful. Great to see a car with the correct exhaust and not those chrome tips.
Nice work!
ORGASM! My first car was a 67 Lemans, loved it!
There is a lot of beautiful muscle cars sitting in that warehouse. Wish I can own all of them in that warehouse.
Hey, Kyle! I challenge you to find and review a Rover 75. I am almost sure you cannot find them in the USA. It is one of the best looking cars ever.
the transmission on the 1964-1967 Pontiac GTO
Transmission
2-speed automatic
3-speed manual
4-speed manual
3-speed automatic
My dad had one of these when he was growing up.

My dad has a 1966 Pontiac GTO just like this one with the exact same engine steering wheel and shifter
gotta love the sixties

True, but here in AZ it's pretty much a necessity. A buddy of mine had a '67 Mustang with AC so I'd definitely prefer a classic equipped with it.
Well done, Kyle! One day I'll own another '66 Goat ... =)
your videos makes my day!!:) "LIKED!!"
a dream garage
my dad had a 66 all options black with a red interior and white top 4 spd tri

Damn....I had a 65 when I was 16 years old. Never forget that shit.
He has 2 videos of newer GTO's actually that he made a few years ago. One of them is more recent than the other.
That's one sweet car, would there be any way to upgrade the radio to Stereo FM without ruining the style though?
looking forward to this
Now that´s a real car
Ohhh look at the beautiful Rivi there at 00:16. Kyle, how do you get these dealers to let you do all this with the cars, half the time dealers don't even let me look at nice ones for more then a minute.
Well put! :)
