I went 3 seasons with your exact setup. Same Hawk stick, an XOP platform and a ring of steps. It was great to hunt from but a long time to set up. I’m switching to the Tree Sniper one stick from Tree Top Hunting. I choose it over the Big Bob because of the larger platform and it can convert into a backpack so I can carry in my top layers. No more large backpack just the Fanny pack.

I ended up switching to an srt method! It's phenomenal but takes some pre thought.

Can you do a part two and show how you use this in the field?

Absolutely. As soon as we get some better weather I'll get out there and make one!

If you ever decide to switch to an actual one stick, try the big bobfrom out on a limb. Absolute best there is. If you live around oklahoma you can try mine no problem

I added the hsp platform at the top

I thought about doing the same thing! Only reason I didn't is because I usually hang out in the middle step. It's much more stable to shoot off of than the very top. Have you shot off of the hsp much?

That climbing stick you have is way too long and not very. practical. You should get a mini stick like i have. MiniI have it's a beast stick 18 inches and 1.5lbs .

I agree it's large! The only reason I'm running that over a smaller stick is just that I'm hunting off of it as well. If I end up getting a carbon platform, I'll certainly have a look at the stick you recommended! Thanks for the comment.
