Extremely helpful, works with only a couple miliseconds of delay at 1G speed! Currently setting up a dual PC streaming setup, and while moving all my OBS assets to the new PC, I was trying to figure out how to hear my Alerts, TTS, Redeems, ETC on my gaming PC (Especially if I'm in VR). This COMPLETELY takes care of the issue, no $500 mixer needed, no XLR, just as simple as a download. ------- HOPE THIS HELPS OTHER STREAMERS!!!!
Thanks for making this video. I was having issues with team members hearing crackling when using my Bluetooth headset. So, this can keep my wired without having to change computers every time. Super helpful!
What a LIFESAVER. I just installed everything and it works PERFECTLY Fine. I use my PC as the player and Mac as the server since I game competitively. If you are looking for a solution, this has helped me and I highly recommend it. Now I don't need to worry about cables lolz.
Thank you for the video. My question is, after I downloaded the app on both devices (iMac as server & Macbook as player), the server setting only have the options for mic, and not speaker? How to switch it up? Thank you!
It is a little different on MacOS since the security is very strict. By default, apps dont have access to the audio that the computer hears. There is a way to get around this though and you can check out this website and it will tell you what to install to capture your speaker audio: docs.audiorelay.net/instructions/macos I hope this works!
So what i have been trying to do is use my mic one one laptop, and have another be my main one that i do everything on. The mic wont work on the main one. Is there a way i can do that?

on computer one you could set the server to share mic and on computer two you could set the server to share computer audio but idk if there is a way to share both computer audio and mic audio from the same computer
i was thinking maybe opening two instances of the application but that wouldn’t work because if you’re trying to connect to the server from the player you only connect to one audio source
I don’t know how I didn’t see this but I got a notification now cus of your newest reply but yes you can share mic input from the server and have the client use that mic input as an input source. In other words, it will be like the mic is connected to the client.
But will it work like that? I have 2 pc, 1 new for gaming and other old still pretty good but not soo powerfull, so can I use it like this discord one old pc and game on new pc, so that my new pc won't loose perfromance? WHat am asking is will it also transfer microphon etc.?
yes it should be able to stream the microphone but you could honestly just use discord on the gaming pc too. It shouldn’t affect performance that much.
i guess you could change the output on your device to something that isn’t playing any audio. That could probably work but I never really tested that out. I don’t have speakers for my computer so yeah
could u help me with something... if i have one laptop and one pc.. but i wanna use the same mic and headphones for both.. is this also possible? Lets just say im in 2 different calls, one on the pc and one on the laptop.. is it possible to connect both headphones and mic as i can talk and hear the audio from both at the same time?
you can use the player and server option at the same time. I’ll explain it a little more. On one computer go to the server settings and select its mic as an audio device and on the other computer, also go to the server tab and u select the speakers as the audio device. Then go to the player tab on both computers and connect to each others servers. The same computer that shares its mic will play the other computers audio on its speakers. It sounds a little complicated but it is simple. I just don’t know how to explain it that well
I have one problem though .. that is If play in my laptop(server) it's sound in it's speaker and in my headphones(main pc-Player) both in the same time.
on your laptop, try changing your output to another output device(in computer settings not in audio relay). or you could connect earphones to the laptop and change the output in audio relay to those earphones
no you can use any output for this. wired headphones, bluetooth headphones, anything that you connect to the Player computer should work. Make sure the app recognizes the output. If it doesn’t, make sure you are in the “Player” section of the app and not the Server section. then click the refresh button next to the output selection. Then it should recognize your headphones or speakers that you are trying to use.
@@MadhuKraft Yes, and they were already selected by default, I got to fix it though, but I forgot to remove my comment, oddly enough, I had to completely disable the firewall on the player machine to fix it
you completely disabled it? i think you can just add an exception in the firewall to allow the audiorelay application or the port that audiorelay runs on
and are you talking about the installer? installer files are always really small. They don’t contain the program so thats why the size might be small. The installer grabs the files from the internet and installs it to your pc.
@@MadhuKraft i dont understand becasue i dont want my audio to come out my sperkers but thats the only option there is no headset option becasue its not pluged in becasue i cant have 1 headset pluged in to 2 pcs?

there’s only two possible causes, your server computer or your wifi. the program is honestly great and i don’t think there is an issue with the program itself but i might be wrong. if you have another computer available try testing out audiorelay and you’ll know for sure if it’s a problem with audiorelay or not
