    I wonder if the solar panel allows for the continuous recording option?

    • @Appmyhome
      @Appmyhome  5 месяцев назад +3

      Likely it won't support that. Basically you'd be draining the battery all the time and most these solar panels just don't charge up enough to support that. Plus the cam would need a much larger battery too to survive the nighttime. We have tasted the Vosker solar panel that has a battery inside, but even that eventually couldn't keep up.

    Hi, awesome review guys.
    Can you try if the battery duration is really 300 days? Or you use the solar panel only?
    Thxs

    • @Appmyhome
      @Appmyhome  3 месяца назад +2

      thank you.
      no idea if the camera will last 300 days on a charge and as you asked yes we use the solar panel which keeps it topped off. if you only run on battery keep in mind their battery estimates use some number of events per day. more events shorter it lasts. hence you if you can, use the solar panel.

    Does any of the features require a subscription? I'm new to security cameras. Can I view the video captures on the SD card from my cell phone or a PC? Can I remove the SD card and plug it into a pc for viewing, copying, and deleting?

    • @Appmyhome
      @Appmyhome  21 день назад

      you can store videos to the SD card. no sub required. viewing is from the iPhone app. have not tried connecting via a pc nor inserting the sd card into the pc to view. you can download the videos however from the app and then look at them on your computer.

    Well, when somebody steal the camera, all your recording are gone... Not the smartest way. It's basically not the security cams purpose - to be stolen with evidence 😂

    Hi, I have exactly the same packet but it’s not including wall mount bracket from where I can get this one because I would like to put together my camera and my solar planner. Can you send me a link please?

    • @Appmyhome
      @Appmyhome  12 часов назад

      The mounts came with the devices. I would check with Tapo support to see if they can point you to where to get one. this model does not have a combined mount. we did a review on their C402 which does come with a dual mount for the camera and solar panel.

      we have the A200 and the C425, both had mounts in the box. Tapo would be your best source for their mounts. Both devices take a 1/4 20 screw mount. so these mounts may work, #ad amzn.to/3yXJM4S

    Does the solar takes time to get the camera charging? Does it has to be a really bright day?

    • @Appmyhome
      @Appmyhome  5 месяцев назад +2

      Best is to charge the camera first and then use the solar panel to keep it topped off. Keep in mind the longer the sunshine and the brighter the better the charging. You can see the historical charging in the app under battery. Seems to be about a day behind in reporting so keep that in mind.

      Hardly a reason not to buy one. Literally going to plug it in once and it doesn’t need to be interchangeable in any way.
