Here I'll decode it for you real quick. She is going to get rid of Travis and she is going to give Joe Alwyn another very impatient chance that she knows he will probably screw up.. and nothing is about Matty Healy and Fresh Out the Slammer is about the person she really loves... Hahahaha 😆

31 songs of teenage angst by a 30-something adult who can't keep a relationship going. At least she makes billions of dollars off of her bad relationships, so she didn't completely waste her time. Theirs, yes, but not hers. I used to really love her music, it was fresh and original, but all her lyrics are sounding the same now. "He hurt me", "I hurt him", "he's a jerk", "I didn't deserve nothing so bad", "I hate this person".... the music is different but her songs are all about the same basic 3 things. 🤷‍♀️

Sounds like you know zero 30-something year olds. Because what she's going through is very relatable for people in their 30s. And to reduce her writing down the way you have is misogynistic and shows you lack great literary understanding. When she provides lyrics such as "only liquor anoints you", "rivulets descend my plastic smile", "I leap from the gallows and levitate down your street" and you leave the comment you have, it says everything about you and you earnestness about music. Your comment is not made in good faith.

@@ferntella I grew up in the 80's, with mostly good music. I guess I got spoiled with a variety of songs about a variety of things, and maybe my expectations are too high for the last decade's worth of "music". Her earlier albums had a wide variety of fresh, original sounding songs, and I guess I expected more from her later albums. Now she uses vulgar language and sounds exactly like everyone else. I think it takes a certain type of person to like her music, these days.

She’s created a career for herself worth millions of dollars by writing these kinds of songs. It’s what her fans expect. Everything she does, she does with intent.
I don’t think most people have any idea what goes into building yourself a career in the entertainment industry. They assume she’s just a whiny girl who needs to “grow up”, when this is her entire image. It’s what is making her millions of dollars and has been placed her into one of the most successful artists of all time. She would be foolish to destroy her career by suddenly changing up her style and not giving her fans what they want. Songs about her romantic life are what sells. It is a perfectly crafted and brilliant image. Regardless of whether or not you like her music, the woman is incredibly smart and knows exactly what she is doing.
It’s so much more complex and nuanced than just “grow up”. 😂 it’s a business, a brand, and a million dollar career.

@@MsRuneGirlShe still should grow the F up. She’s 34 with the emotional maturity and spite of her majority-white self-absorbed teenage fans. She’s a triumph of marketing over talent.
