Been using one of these to walk the dogs for a week now, absolutely love it, there's nothing annoying about it at all. High is bright enough for most things, turbo is pretty impressive for such a small light and lasts really well without getting hot as you said in the review. I carry a Convoy C8 in my pocket for occasional throw use, makes a great combo for under £40 total inc batteries! The Sofirn SP40 is on Flash Deal at BG for under £14.50 until tomorrow if anyone happens to read this in time...
I have no ceiling lamp at my bedroom "office" and no desk lamp on my computer desk. On the lowest mode this illuminates my notebook just about perfectly.
Nice vid bro! This was my first Sofirn (I have 6 by now). Bought it last fall for my wife to walk the dogs in the dark. She LOVES IT! She walks alone in the dark forests without fear, because the mighty sofirn SP40 is with her. Hands free for our three dogs. Reliable, easy to use. I testet the Battery(s) and all above 3000 Ma/h.
I'd been using two Zebralight H60s for over ten years. However the larger and heavier SP40 is my daily driver now as the XP-L blows an XR-E out of the water in terms of light output for power consumption. I had to create a diffuser (harvested from an LCD screen) and replace the headband with a Skilhunt one. Mine is from Sofirn direct in 3000k. You get a lot for the money and being able to top up the battery via USB is nice, even if the recharge rate is very slow.
I got the SP40 in 4000k 1 month ago. It is my first headlamp. I find it a bit throwy but I am happy with it, especially for the price. I am happy that it also has the 18350 tube.
Just a heads up to anyone buying the sp40. Purchase a quality battery and don't rely on the included sofirn. I tried different batteries because for some reason the light was not bright at all when compared to all my other right angle headlamps... even the basic lumintrail 1000lm cheapy. I threw in my relatively cheap fenix branded 18650 and the difference was noticeable immediately. So please.... buy a good battery for this light to do it justice. I now love this headlamp. And if anyone asks, I have a separate propriety charger that I use for all my batteries to check voltage also.
I'm finding some included button tops do have really high resistance. It's a shame so many people buy Ultrafire batteries/copies because this has made manufacturers become reliant on safety focussed own brand/proprietary cells. Stop being cheap people!!! 🙏
Does anyone know the maximum 18650 battery height/length for use in SP40? Is it the same both with flat top and button top? If you don’t know, what is the longest protected 18650 that you have used in SP40 successfully?
This included your creepiest monster, the walking man in Vanhalla. The end creature was nice&funny. But that man gave me the creeps. Good light. Same experience: only high and turbo are usable in the field.
Not reviewed it yet but my favorite 21700 headlamp is the Fireflies PL47G2. Mainly due to the insane power, Anduril UI and compact size, it is Smaller than most 18350 flashlights!! Fireflies can be a lottery on build quality though.

It's not bad, I just kept forgetting it doesn't turn off from turbo and then putting it in my pocket in low mode!

You can add dc fix to make it less throwy, I can give you the article number if interested.
Haha great review, love the monsters at the end! Spotted the walker in Vanhalla too! Haha!
I drove through the village yesterday and slowed down to check out the famous landmarks.😂
Dangerous Place looks a lot different during the day, it's far steeper than it looks at night.
FLASHAHOLICS I’m not sure where the dangerous place is yet. I might start doing open top bus tours for the flashlight fans.😁

What is the colour tint in your review? 4000? or 5300K?

Any interest to review Sofirn HS40? Comparison between 5000k vs 6500k version
what is the color temperature of the flashlight from this review?
I like my Wowtac A2S, stays in turbo. Don't really mind that you have to open the battery compartment to charge or care that is doesn't have a magnet.
Really fun viddies. Don’t see many Zebralight reviews though. I thought those were a popular brand with flashaholics?
They're good but some would say it's just beyond the limt they'd spent on a light
They don't need reviewing, people know they are getting quality.
Too pricy for the usual RUclips review.
Thia and the NW WOWTAC A2S are.my fav headlamps.
The D25S looks promising for the money.
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV I got it..gave it away...its ok..just not secure
From your personal opinion and your bare eyes which one is brighter, better. Base on the prize. Which one is more worth it ?
The D25S really impressed for the price
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV but the price is rising recently from 15 to 20 dollar (in my country)

There's a lot of nasties in Vanhalla but most are that subtle they went unnoticed
FLASHAHOLICS Now this one could keep me awake all night Matt.
Would you feel that the lh351d 4000k version is better?
My favourite LED when it's not greenish
Can it use IMR cells?
Hi, Great videos!! Learned so much, wondering. Looking for the best 21700 battery/ headlamp. Thoughts about the Nitecore nh65?

Second smalest in size comparison, what is called?
And when will it be review?
The Sofirn S25S, I have about 4 lights to review before it.
sofirn D25s vs sp40 which one stay in turbo mode more??
I've not reviewed the D25S yet, this was my first go with it. It seems decent for the money.
What is the time battery hold on every mode? How long?
Not stated
Nice video 👍
How long does it charge via usb on PC?
My PC only charges at 0.5A so you're looking at up to 5 hours
