The 450km-long Mecca-Medina High-speed Railway, was built by China Railway 18th Bureau Group. It crosses the desert and links the holy cities of Mecca and Medina.
Designed with a maximum speed of 360 km/h, it is not only the first double-track electrified high-speed railway in Saudi Arabia, but also the world's first desert high-speed railway to have Chinese companies involved in its construction. The high-speed railway has brought a new experience of traveling on land in Saudi Arabia. It has changed the appearance of the cities and boosted economic development in locations along the route.

It claimed the lives of 600 to 900 Aboriginal people and nearly annihilating the whole of the island's indigenous population.

It is estimated that Britain transported 3.1 million Africans since 1641, (of whom 2.7 million arrived) to the British colonies in the Caribbean, North and South America and to other countries.
Approximately 600,000 of 10 million African slaves made their way into the AMERICAN colonies before the slave trade was banned by Congress in 1808. (BUT SLAVERY WAS NOT BANNED)

China has expertise in building railways and civil infrastructure and they are deeply involved in almost all Middle Eastern countries, leading in KSA and UAE. In the first phases of development in this region, it was Western European and USA cos who built roads, bridges, airports etc with their technology and engineering which all has benefited the region for decades and eras, hope the Chinese can also be regarded the same way after ten years at least.
