J.C. Puga I would like to understand how to rend my heart. It feels very hard to even get to my heart making me invite God to rend my heart with full permission to do so. I'd like to understand this term.
Diana Davidson When the Israelites sinned, they would express their repentance by cutting up their clothes (rend.) But this was very customary/ritualistic and so lacked deep and genuine repentance. In effect, to rend one’s heart is to recognise our sin, confess it to God, confess all our lusts, wrongdoings, fears etc. Lay everything down before him, be truly broken and humble before God (Psalm 51...a contrite heart God doesn’t despise.) in this way, we can allow God to renew us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We just have to be open and honest with God. Hope that helps, God bless you!

My name is Joel, That is another in itself. After many years of being an adult Growing up as a child in the faith and growing out of it. I have been drawn back to the scriptures in search of answers. We live in crazy insufferable times, in a toxic world where sin is rewarded. Where self righteousness reigns over humility. Where materialism has everyone trapped in the ideology of keeping up with those around you just to get along. I have been on my own journey over the last decade. I've met enough people of many backgrounds to know that we live amongst evil. I belive we can turn things around too. I belive we can all defeat evil. None of us can change our past but we can change the future.
Joel here too. I was baptized yesterday..indeed..my name is Joel.
Joel here as well… apparently somewhere in the Bible it says “the only evil we should fear is within us” … kill the sun and demons within and then you’ll be happy.
Jesus said “the only true way we love a FREE life is to live a life free of sin” to see the Devils temptations and not take them.
Joel was speaking about the glimpse into the book of Revelations, a New Jerusalem and New Eden with no evil on Earth and in our hearts. Wow, God planned this from the very beginning, knowing all that is to come.
Singular 1. Revelation
Yes! He really is outside of time itself. He can see the beginning from the end. Which is even more reason to trust Him! 😃
even the fact that he created the creation in 7 days shows the outline of His plan for the 7000 thousand years to come. for i.e,
(remember 1 day is like 1000 years to the Lord and vice versa)
Day 1 - "God seperates the light from darkness" (the falling of Adam and Eve into darkness from the light of God in the first 1000 years)
Day 2 - "God made the waters touched the sky" (The Flood if Noah in the 2000 years)
3rd Day - Earth brought forth trees through seed (in the 3rd 1000 years, Abraham is promised to be father of Nations through his Seed, bringing forth the nation of Israel referred to as a tree)
4th Day - Lights in the firmament (in the 4th 1000 years, Messiah brings light to our world)
5th Day - Multiplying of creatures (in the 5th 1000 years, Populations soar, Many nations and Religions come into existence, the main ones being Roman Catholicism & Islam)
6th Day - God creates Man in His image (in the 6th 1000 years, the time period we live in, it seems that God is creating a people for Himself)
7th Day - God ended His work (in the 7th 1000 years, yet to come, Messiah will rule and reign on earth as it is written in the Scriptures)

I've been feeling low for weeks last night I had the audio bible on and it played through,some how the book of Joel spoke to me and I woke up to read through and research what others are saying. a here @ 3.51am. Thank you, God, for hearing 😢 a pitiful sinner like me.
Love how the letters that spell 'Joel' are damaged but then repaired, you guys really put a lot of detail into this work.
Follows the arc of the story, in the beginning it shows how broken and chaotic everything is; but it ends with a promise that everything will be restored in the Day of the Lord.

The scroll was perfect at the beginning of the video. Then they added the little locust on top of the J, and it started to decay! The storytelling, with just the pictures, is absolutely inspired.

It's a real help , after I read a book of the bible, especially some of the more symbolic books in the old testament, it's great to watch these videos and understand the morals that the writers were trying to get across in their stories ✝️
This can't be a substitute but it definitely helps to have imagery. I personally disagree with their teaching of how hell came to be. They teach that we choose hell and that Jesus doesn't send people to hell people se d themselves. They see hell as a bad thing that a good God wouldn't create. In a parable Jesus said (send him in the outer darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of the teeth) that makes it clear that it's God's work and that God hates sin. I think their illustrations are helpful just to add an image to what I'm reading but I wouldn't trust all their doctrine know the word for yourself

I actually don't understand the bible(cause I'm dumb), and this really helps me a lot.
I'm crying as I watch this because I always forget how much I long for restoration, how deeply broken we are and how we need to be healed. I don't know how humans can ever be used to accomplish God's purposes on earth but I pray it happens despite ourselves.

Ive been watching from Genesis till here and I must say,
I never knew the bible like this before,
I just found out that the bible isnt just a book of rules, its a book showing God's love, kindness, patience;
overall, its all about God, how He loves and cares for us and is willing to take care of us even though we are in the wrong.
He sent to the world Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ to cleanse us of all our sins, iniquity and transgressions and fulfil what the Law couldn't.
He sent the Holy spirit to help and guide us.
Thank God for Everything He has done for us.

It's my first time to read Joel - didn't know it's super short, you can finish it in one sitting. So short yet profound! The "Even now" phrase in Joel 2:12 struck me the most. What a merciful and gracious God we serve!

Been procrastinating on reading through the book of Joel... to me it seemed very mundane, but I felt an urge to read it today and thought maybe watching this as I read would help, and boy was I wrong about this book being mundane! I LOVE THIS ENTIRE IDEA! Being neurodiverse and so tremendously thirsty to learn the text but, I am met with the limitations of reading. Having a resource so visual took my having read Joel 3 times and made it MAKE SENSE!! WHEWWWWWWWWWWWWWW talk about make it plain PASTOR!

I asked God for clarity so that I could get a clear understanding of what God's wants us humans to believe his compassion and love for all of us. He's showing us that what we are doing is nothing that he hasn't seen before in humans, and I now understand that God wants us to comeback to Isreal under the understanding of joining him there. God's knows that we are humans born in sin never the less he wants us to depend on him as he hoped would have happened the garden of eden. Amen

God's mercy is great. We learn in Peter that the Day of the Lord - when Jesus comes back to earth as a King - is delayed because God wants everyone to repent. He doesn't want anyone to perish, even the most detestable of sinners. His mercy is as great as Himself.

Brothers, the Lord showed me 2 months ago, an extraordinary vision, regarding the DAY OF THE LORD. I saw myself outside, among the people, and suddenly, an immense light, which encompassed everything, coming from above, of an unimaginable force and power, hit us unexpectedly. At that moment, I didn't have time for anything, I just managed to shout: OH MY GOD! I woke up instantly, and I heard a voice in my head (I knew it was the Lord), which told me: GOAL! And then I told him, remembering that in the BIBLE, it is written that the Lord's Day is a day of great auspiciousness, as it has never been before and will never be again, and I asked Him if this is what we must do, when we see this light. The LORD answered me that that LIGHT is HIM and that our GOAL from that moment, for salvation, is to CRY FOR HIM!! What I can tell you, after this experience, is that the ONLY thing we need is FAITH in the LORD. Believe me, nothing will save us on that day, except HIM! Glory to our Lord! AMEN!
