এখানেই থাকি 10+ বছর হয়ে গেল। আগে চাকরির জন্য মাসে কমকরে দুবার এই airport দিয়ে outstation যেতে হতো। আর মাঝে সাঝে কলকাতা airport যেতাম স্বভাবতই তুলনা করতাম। Bangalore শুনলে অনেক বাঙালির আজকাল মনে আহা আহা হয়। কিন্তু যে থাকে সে জানে অতো আহামরি কিছু নয়। আমাদের কলকাতার সব সুবিধাই আছে। কিন্তু উদাসীন adminstration। জানেও না কি করে একটু সিস্টেমেটিক আর ডিসিপ্লিন করা যায়। আমাদেরও ac বাস সার্ভিস আছে কিন্তু অপ্রতুল ও প্রচার বিহীন। হলদে ট্যাক্সি অনেক সস্তা কিন্তু এই বাহন টাকে মডার্ন করার বদলে মেরে ফেলা হচ্ছে। Rickety নন এসি গাড়ি। বহু বছর ভাড়া বাড়েনি। মিটার ব্যবস্থা অমান্য হচ্ছে। আর কি বলবো! বিশ্বের যে কোনো আধুনিক শহরের পরিপন্থী। দায়ী অজ্ঞ আর উদাসীন নেতৃবৃন্দ। শহরের রাস্তা এসব ভালো কিন্তু 99% জবরদখল ফুটপাথ, নোংরা পলিথিন ছাউনী, উনুন জ্বালিয়ে রান্না চলছে- সেখানে এক জায়গায় ব্লগারদের ভিড়। এক বিশৃঙ্খলার স্বর্গরাজ্য। কারুর কি চোখে পড়ে না। চাইলে দু মাসে কলকাতা টিপটপ হতে পারে। সদিচ্ছা!!!

Akdom thik kotha..Kolkatae shob resources ache..much better than other metro cities..but its a complete chaos everywhere! We need proper management to get things sorted ..

Hebbal e ekta burning ghat achey/ electric furnace as well.
Incidentally great singer, Manna Dey got cremated at Hebbal.
Manna Dey used to reside at Indira Nagar fir a brief period at his daughter's place, and I was lucky to be his neighbor.

Darun laglo... Just left Bangalore two months back for USA... Stayed there for 10 yrs in Whitefield and must say it's one of the convenient and awesome city for family to stay!

You can access the lounge free of cost..if you have eligible debit or credit cards..whether they are eligible is something that can be confirmed at the entry counters..usually they allow to enter 3 hours before boarding
