- Here is the doomsday remix from super mario bros z. I made this just so people would enjoy the soundtrack from SMBZ. No copyright infringements intended.

It s funny how every Mecha sonic sound effect in SMBZ is stripped straight from Cooler (DBZ), yet whenever these quotes come to my mind, I always associate them with Mecha first and only then I remember "Wait these are actually from Cooler".

I always loved how Alvin made you dread Mecha Sonic's appearance.
When Shadow sensed Mecha Sonic approach Yoshi's Island, you could feel the dread that not everyone on that island would be leaving alive.

His remakes are no slouches in that department; the robot is a legit unstoppable juggernaut and his arrival heralds an ass-kicking MURDER. Let alone the closes up on the crimson red eyes...
Scrapnik Island was already one of my favorite things in IDW for bringing back Mecha.
Now that they made him SAY THE THING, a wave of nostalgia flew over my mind. Hopefully he comes back again.

Mecha sonics line is from cooler in DBZ a character himself who is none canon according to the late Akira toriyama,how can you say a line is canon when it's referring to a character who is none canon?
He made it boys, after years of him being dobiusly canon at best, mecha sonic is now canon to the games fully, not just for the classic universe.

Only found out March 1st myself (someone mentioned it on a random FF7 Remake demo Twitter post; made my entire month 👏🏾), yet he had the new Twitter account since January and started episode 2 in February. Hate to be the bearer of bad news... but here's what happened. During the production of Episode 9, Alvin felt that the series wasn't exactly going the way he had originally envisioned. He released a couple of the scenes he had finished of Episode 9, and basically abandoned the project. A few years later, he came back and remade Episode 1. Go look it up, it was really good. As he started working on Episode 2, the Hell-storm came.
So, before I tell of said storm, here's the deal: Alvin had a patreon account up and was accepting donations for his creative work. The problem was, Nintendo didn't like that. Now, it may sound dumb to some, me included, but it was fact. Alvin was technically using Nintendo property and getting paid for it. I know, I know, it may sound dumb, because you could argue that donating is different than buying. Doesn't matter. So, Nintendo had his patreon shutdown.
Now, I don't know or remember everything, so I'm probably wrong on some things, but SMBZ is basically dead.

I remember when I grew up watching SMBZ before even playing the old Sonic games. I freaking loved and was terrified of Mecha Sonic watching the show, and I distinctly remember when I eventually played Sonic 3 and Mecha Sonic showed up I screamed in absolute terror. (Though he was a cakewalk lmao)

Was such a great series. Ive started watching and following it when the second episode was the latest. Its a shame he discontinued it but its better he did that than force himself and potentially make his series worse.
Rumor has it that SMBZ is making a come back this year. Some other people have picked it up, so who knows.

Man did I love this series. It really was one of the best Newgrounds animations out there. If Alvin does decide to revive this series I hope he at least keeps this track in if nothing else. And maybe add back in, y'now, the 2nd part of the song!

Mecha Sonic was the shit back then, a shame that he got replaced by buff Metal Sonic in the reboot. Oh well, hopefully he’ll kick some serious ass later on after what we saw what he could do to someone like Yoshi.
Well they're both essentially the same character. Alvin specifically used Mecha Sonic sprites from S3&K cause they were the only ones avaliable, think of Metallix as just a neat little redesign.
Well to be fair his new design as Metallix was implied to be what his final form was gonna be once he had every chaos emerald. In Sonic's nightmare at the beginning of episode 5 Mecha Sonic's silhouette is clearly Metallix.
@@kanemccarthy1979 Yeah, I will admit that Metallix was formally his final transformation. Mark changed it to be just him in his base form though, either way still kind of a redesign.

No, Super Mario Bros. Z (2006 series) is not canon. It is a British fan-made flash-animated web series created by Mark Haynes that is a crossover between the Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog franchises.
