in-game, the party can talk about what they want to do once they get out, and while cahara wants to get laid and d'arce wants a bath and to visit a church, ragnvaldr says he wants to eat and drink if i recall correctly, so it's very accurate!

Purely based on design the only thing I can think of is that on one end of the spectrum there is MoonMoon. On the other side... Aptly, Moonless.

I love how this is technically perfectly in character for her because there is something deeply wrong with her and she's like "I like my man the best when he's actually a mad caricature of himself I have revived because now he no longer cares about suck pesky things, such as spreading his faith, that interfere with his ability to give me passionate love, and also I can take care of him forever and ever."
Like idk D'Arce is the kind of person whom I'd expected to cut her lover's legs off.
I mean this affectionately btw I love her to hell and back she's so everything.

She's like a Casca and Farnese crossover, super obsessed with a guy that doesn't deserve her, is a bit high and mighty and preachy and debatably a bit racist (depending on how the cave dweller stuff actually goes down). And yeah, she kind of gives up on being a devout religious kind of gal in the end for her monster / reanimated corpse of a crush.
But I can't help but love her and find her really cool? I dunno. I always pick her up as a companion if I'm not playing her. I know our little edgy Enki is the fan favourite, but disaster girl is favourite MC for me. Ending rant lol

In my circles the most popular ones are Cahara and Ragnvaldr, and after them come Enki and D'Arce, who are about the same level of popular. Like they aren't the MOST popular but I also regularly see really dope fanart of both of them? I'm a little sad that Nosramus always gets left behind tho, like people draw Moonless and The Girl pretty often but where's some love for Nosramus? Like I know they aren't a main character but still, they're so cool. And obviously Le Garde is not even in the picture. He's like...at the bottom of the ocean in terms of popularity. And like I know that it's because he sucks ass BUT that is precisely why I like him. Like come on he's so cringefail, he's my little freak, he's like a rat I'd like to observe in its natural habitat.
But yeah anyway I don't know who these two characters you mentioned are, like at all, but yeah I love D'Arce, she's one of my favourite types of character. Because on surface level, she is The Knight archetype - the character who doesn't live for themselves but for someone else, who has made themselves into a tool and not a person, who is obsessed with one particular person and will do anything for them (sometimes even something they themselves don't want, eg Homura Akemi from Madoka Magica and Sayaka Miki from the same show both disrespect the wishes of people they want to protect and both of them are The Knight archetype; or Pearl from Steven Universe is another good example of a Knight who goes directly against the wishes of the person they want to serve), who wants, desperately, to be good, who wants to be devoted, who wants to serve, who wants to help, yadda yadda yadda. She is, literally AND metaphorically, a knight. And like all Knight archetypes, she will betray her own morals for the one she serves. She could and she did watch Le Garde kill people and she still went for him to the dungeon. All that was required to stop the destruction of her own morals was to do nothing. But she's a knight and a knight needs their master as much as a sword needs a knight to wield it. And that's what she is - a sword. Well, she wants to be. The funny thing is that she isn't even that. Or, well, she is, but not a special one.
AND under the surface, D'Arce is very much not good. Because D'Arce is a people-pleaser. D'Arce may be a knight and she may have had a grand ideal of good and she may want to help, but in the end, if you tell her to saw somebody's limb off, she will do it, and she will not even offer any words of compassion. She'll just say something vague and reluctant like "There's no other option." or "There's no one else to do it." Words that justify her actions instead of words that would help the one who she's harming. And she will comply with Le Garde's orders and she will go for him to the dungeon even though he harms people. D'Arce is someone who wants to be good, who yearns for the ideal of helping and mercy, but who is ultimately just a people-pleaser who gives way to evil either through inaction, complacency or selfishness.
But D'Arce isn't bad JUST because she's a tool. D'Arce wants to be a knight and a tool AND simultaneously wants to control. Her god form makes this clear as well. D'Arce is a dominator, her god forms herself says so. D'Arce is someone who wants power over those she deems weaker than her as much as she wants to protect others, and those two concepts are contradictory as much as they go hand in hand. D'Arce is a submissive sword. D'Arce is an active dominator. Both of those things are true. Both of those things manifest in her relationship with Le Garde.
Anyway D'Arce fictional woman of all time if I had a penny for every time a character like this happened I'd have like...three pennies. More or less depending on how similar a character we're looking for.

@@stefanzawalony1960Go to the left entrance, the dogs only activate if you pass through the main entrance or spend enough time screwing around in the beginning area.
Keep in mind that the event of the dogs won’t deactivate with time, so if for any reason you need to go back to the beginning area just go back to the dungeon towards the left entrance again, tho entering the beginning area through the main entrance is safe.
