This is a very basic idea of how the Open Pit Mining process takes place. This was a very new mine when the footage was shot, and using very small machines
Hi Abby. No, when blasting everyone and everything (machines) are removed from the area and all access roads will be blocked. There will typically also be sirens sounding to notify everyone that blasting is about to take place
It does really help me in understanding the process much better. But, I have a question here, is blasting considered exploding? Which means, it uses the explosive material to do that kind of process? Do correct if I misunderstood it..again thank you for everything.
Hi Najihatul. Yes, blasting in mining is literally setting explosives in the ground. Holes are drilled and then you add the explosive slurry, add the ignition devices all tied up to a chord that sets it off in a very well timed sequence. Good/Poor blasting will determine how fine or bulky the product is after the blast making it easier or harder to load.
Very informative, thank you for taking time into putting all this together.
I could watch this all day. So satisfying to watch.
This video helpen me in social technology 👌👌👍👍💐💐😊
Very informative
Will you use reflective picket sleeve to mark blasting area ?

Is there any company that uses this kind of method?

Loading with a front-end-loader? Must be a small scale operation.
I would have thought using 40ton haul trucks would have given that away.
Thanks! This video helped me a lot :)
