- In this video we are talking about Tantalums. I will show you some models that I usually meet, although there are many more types and models. We will open some to show you the interior and how to recognize the Tantalum capacitator.
EXCELLENT VIDEO SIR, best video I have found explaining Tantalum.
Thank you for the information, which is really very useful🙏🙏, May be healthy always and continue to work👍💪
Good vid mate cheers Graham
This is VERY useful information, bro! I need to learn more about Tantalum, is there a way to get in touch?
I've been looking at my tantalum collection for a while wondering the same thing. I see them listed on ebay all the time but never see them actually sell so I have to wonder where to sell them. And from what I understand it's not easy to refine tantalum and virtually impossible to melt at home. So basically I still have no idea what I'll do with what I have saved up. I think I'll likely just keep adding to the piles.
Boring Old White Guy I had a problem myself , until I met the man who often goes to Ukraine! The Ukrainian and Russian markets are sold very easily. For now, I am collecting, I will soon clean them and try to sell them through it, I will split the result with to you!
Hi dear
first big thanks for your helpful video.
it is some varistor in your yallow tant jar.
Can’t wait to see them processed!
Shawn German There are two of us :D
Very informative video bro thanks
Χαράλαμπος Αντωνόπουλος thanx mate :)
Mr. Dusan I got like that too with a deep blue color and it has (+) sign too, are those tantalum too. regards
The plus is to show which direction they should go in the circuit.. positive and ground.. basic electronics..
Gout 👍 master,,, tank you
Do the blue ones also contain palladium?
How much is tantalum worth per pound? I've started scrapping it and have 9 grams so far , just wondering how much I need to make it worth finding someone to sell it to.
hell yeah i like this . Tantalum's high melting point of 3017 °C highly resistant to corosion ..this is one good "metal"
Perfect video man, i'm bummed i been throwing out some of them by not knowing ;( All good you live and learn :) TY again for video :).
snoozin99 Yes, I also made similar mistakes, now I have to check each component before I leave the board! I'm glad you liked the video!

Great video,Thanks..
Smith S thank you!

Hello, I am Edgar.
First of all thank you for your great videos they have always been very helpful!
At the moment I have a small problem and hope you can help me with this?
I have a bucket full of Nitric solution, it was crystal blue green.
Now I have 15 grams of DMG solution to counter palladium!
Unfortunately, the solution has only become dirty green and by filtering it will not be clear!
What can I do?
I would like to win the palladium and silver from the solution ????
I hope you can help me.
Edgar
Did you ever figure it out?
