He is speaking out of deep affection to the One who came to save him from an horrific life. When someone speak from such a deep place of gratitude - it is hard not to allow tears and emotion and reality of life creep in. Jesus was also moved to tears at Lazarus grave and when He called out to Jerusalem and the desire to gather her as a hen her chicks. God gave us emotions as love is also part of that, and tears to show sorrow and joy and relieve thru that. I pray that Gods love will fill your very being that you will not only experience Him in the cognisance, but also in thr emotion. The whole person saved and washed and standing in an emotional gratitude of His love and salvation

It's unfortunate that he didn't have any single person to talk to aside from that audience, but I could only pray for the Lord to heal him while he spoke. He made an excellent point: Often, people don't see a pastor as 'hurting' or with serious struggles. People go to churches, see the Pastor smiling (a mandatory expression!) and go immediately into THEIR lives and problems without ever asking the Pastor if HE needs anything.
