I even don’t watch Atlanta. I came all way from kissing for sneakers scene down rabbit hole of RUclips here. And I have to say - I am not disappointed!
@@elijahhutchings7947 how big the impact Sylvia had on the kid’s life.. as to how little the parents actually had on him. look at the photos at the end. just rewatch it… easily my fav episode of the season.
@@elijahhutchings7947 At the start of the episode they talk about how the parents did show up for the parent student picture day, at the end it Sylvia and Sebastian on parent student picture day. The parents are absent most of the episode, but try lying to themselves about being present in his life. The funeral also shows how scared the mom was by the daughter of Sylvia being mad at her mom for being absent in her life, and then totally ignoring that she herself is being that absent mother.
You didn’t even explain the deep meaning behind the episode like how they played on how this was the modern version of how black slave Nannie’s or even Nannies how they had effects fect on the white children they raised
Hey loved your way of defending our country's funeral...but yes our funerals are just like that 😢😮 unfortunately.
if someone aint jump into the casket you aint been to a trini funeral much less a west indian one lol.
Ummm ya smoke a dottish or wha?
If she was scared of her son becoming immersed in another culture, I don’t think she would want her son to learn Mandarin.
She explicitly said she wants Bash to learn the language of business
^
I think It's a take on how white people are selective when it comes to intercultural influences
