  • Hupmobile was a very successful car for the most discernible. Often their cars were chosen by exclusive customers to be sent to specific “Coach” builders for the particular need and desire of the customer. Such was the case with this car. The custom coachwork was done for Mr. N. S. Stires of Salt Lake City and delivered to him by the Hyland Motor Company on July 17, 1928. The car was ordered with many accessories that are pointed out in this video. One very specific demand of Mr Stires was to delete the passenger seat for easy entry to the rear going to the Opera or very special events. This car was always chauffeur driven and attended to.
Because of its rigorous maintenance, all gauges function perfectly including gas gauge, speedometer and clock.
Also due to the beauty and care of this vehicle, many noted collectors purchased this vehicle, Phil Gardener, Howard Mackey, and Clain Hill of Fairbanks AK.
This Hupmobile was prominently displayed at the Fountainhead Museum for many year prior to my purchase.
With the car came historical documentation as well as factory manuals back to the date of delivery.
    This car is a 1 of 1.

It’s a Murray body...I don’t see where it says otherwise anywhere.
