    I have often said that I enjoy "boredom", now I realise that I am being at one with awareness, It was never boredom i.e. not doing a practical activity.

    When a thought arises, see that it's experienced in the same space where you experience sight, sounds, smells, feelings, etc... Go back and forth between the thought and sight or sound to confirm this and instantly the thought collapses.

    I'm glad something special doesn't happen. One of the biggest fears of liberation for me was a sudden, huge alteration in how I see the world. I don't want some big event, I just want clarity. I have seen the veil of the separate self drop from watching one of your self enquiry videos saying to 'look for who is upset/angry/needing'. I saw it as emptiness and it was like a filter in the middle of my head just dropped and I could see what was in front of me instead of not seeing life, and just watching my cluster of thoughts and emotions in a daydream. It didn't last long but I understood what it was, and it's made me a lot less fearful of accepting the experience when I feel that surge of fear that occasionally happens during mediation.

    The experience of knowing that someone or something is aware of your awareness is both terrifying and beautiful. It is a life changing experience

    • @zain4019
      @zain4019 4 года назад +2

      And what makes it so intimate, so terrifyingly new and beautifully intimate, is that this one is 'I"- it is our true self and is what always has been our true self, but one we had not even considered was there. In reality, this I Am is all there is.

      "You" are the "awareness" which is aware of every object including your thoughts, emotions and feelings.
      When you say "John's laptop", John has to be different from his laptop.
      When you say "John's pen" , John has to be different from his pen.
      When you say "John's body, John has to be different from his body.
      When you say "John's mind", John has to be different from his mind.
      John is awareness the way you are awareness.

    Seven years ago, I had two very radical experiences of zooming out from the personal self. I had always wondered what these experiences were in relation to full-blown enlightenment and had always been trying to replicate them. Then I started to hear "enlightenment is not an experience" which always confused me, given that my experiences were definitely experiences. But this really opens my eyes to part of what this means. I was just like he describes with too much focus on the world turning out a particular way. So, I felt this strong sense of relief and joy during the experience that I expect to happen again once I reach enlightenment. But this colors my experiences and taints my perception. This will help me to let go of more. Thank you Rupert. (:

      The Diamond Net I’m not sure but I might have had this emptiness of any thought for minutes as a boy of 14 or so. My realization was that I knew this is all I need to be or know. I had no idea what it was so I put it aside and reidentified with someone who still had to learn or takes up a task (helping to solve the energy problem which I did try). Only recently since I see humans are going nowhere with that problem and it looks like we have ruined the planet I hope to see this again but maybe it’s impossible - which is just another thought. And I know hope also separates me from what is.
      A wish to talk to Rupert or someone with that realization about this arises. I’m now 40 years older and don’t cling to much anymore. I have let a lot of sadness pass by.

    The major thing that these teachers never seem to point out is that, whilst anyone can intellectually understand that they are Awareness or the Witness of experience etc, the difficult part is actually TRULY realising it i.e. that awareness which you are becoming directly conscious of itself or rememberes itself. Also you cannot think about or feel this Awareness because it is not objective. If you could sense it in any way then it obviously would not be you. It seems people are always trying to find this Awareness somewhere in experience, but it cannot be found.

    • @theawesomeduo54
      @theawesomeduo54 7 лет назад

      TheYuutuba you can speak with your "higher" self which is the everlasting "you" or individual universe [perception]. This is the being that remembers old lives and can answer your personal questions [among other things] because time is not a factor to your "higher self". Confused?

    • @dennyweigelt4036

      Kiran Kurwade in a certain way, we can sometimes read others thoughts because we are them, just not all the time of everyone.

    The knowing is not a thing. It is not an experience, it is not aware. it is knowing.
    It “ the knowing “ knows everything, even though things do not ultimately exist. it knows itself as knowing. Knowing knowing itself but not as an objective self. It's just made up of knowing ng knowing.
    Words are impossible to describe this, it can only be described from a dualistic perspective. As perceived.
    I notice knowing.
    Yet the knowing and noticing are one knowing. Not two, not even one. To say it is one is going too far.
    Yet to describe for perceived others, we use words.
    The words may point. They can do no more. If one does not know it, then one must move from object to objectless.
    This can be very frightening initially.

      Howard, ask yourself: is the Source (God) of all life and universe -- less or infinity more than what our our feeble mind's can understand? You intrinsically know the answer. Rupert is pointing to what is infinite. But you are free -- like billions of others -- to belittle what has no boundaries and engrave an image in your mind and so be a proud child of a lesser god.
