    Thanks for that video. Last week I had a patient with a bleeding from his head, man he lost so much blood from that vessel. I remembered this technique and successfully stopped the bleeding

      Last week we had a patient come in complaining of headaches and he was bleeding so much! After hours of troubling procedures we figured out he was actually suffering from decapitation!

      @@mackk123 last week we had a patient complaining about headaches. As a solution to his problem, we just cut of his head.

    If you don't mind me saying , a hemostat clamp at the tip of severed artery would be very helpful to keep the field clean while placing sutures and to prevent unnecessary blood loss (blood vessel was secured after exactly 35 seconds of profuse bleeding).

      In ambulances where i work there isnt vascular hemostat clamp, or at last ordinary clamp but always there is suture material. Beter a compresive ligation than vascular iatrogenic damage, i think.

    Nice video! But I have a question. What if we cant see the point of bleeding? In some cases i were unable to locate the vessel causing the bleeding so I need to inject Tranexamic Acid first and observe the patient. Thank you

    Ok but what if and I'm just saying what if, you didn't have dissolving sutures and only had say silk or nylon. Is it better then bleeding out ?

    is this, what under running means?

    • @darkim1777
      @darkim1777 4 года назад +1

      Nope, under running suture is a running/continuous "x" suture. It is done in external skin closure.
      This video is about figure of 8, a type of deep matress suture meant for stopping bleeding.
