I think FDev see the weekly assignments as a kind of tutorial in that regard. Currently I have an assignment that sends me to hack those holo ads and it even tells me, that I would need recon limpets for that task, so I would know where to begin. But I agree, the mission board would be a great way to offer some more guidance on the opportunities.
Thanks for the feedback! In my mind, many newer or new to tasks pilots have likely seen the mission board and I think it's just a way for people to associate additional tasks or choose to do what they find to be the most interesting to them. I haven't tried the graffiti thingy yet, but I think that will be a lot of fun. I am glad they include that as one of the "weekly" tasks. I just think they could go further for those that may want to play more often or want to see what options are available in a mission setting. o7 CMDR!
Good video you are correct Also there are alliance or imperials who wanna work together but the current foundation supports gerting allied with another power even if your both alliance, i think we need a powerplay 2.1
I dunno. I think the PP2 stuff is fairly in your face. Yea it's a separate board and I see why some would want it on the mission board but I also see why they did not do that. PP2 is meant to be a whole other war/game on top of the game. I do think they could explain how to do the various tasks a little better than sending you to the codex. But at the same time I get it. I'm older too and I was lost on PP1 😂
sadly this has always been a "hole" in the elite gameplay loops. much of it has to be figured out by trial and error, and then put on a wiki somewhere. I'm fine with having to work out some nuance, but too much was always black-boxed (i'm looking at you BGS 😉)
Just use the same terminology for every system type..... Like that's communication 101 right there. It's bad enough they don't explain this stuff. It's worse when they do explain this stuff they have 2 or 3 different terms for the same stuff depending on the context you're talking about it. Also combat..... Why can't I turn in Combat Bonds from Combat Zones for Merits? Why Do I get so few merits for taking out a multi-million credit, highly engineered star ship capable of breaking the laws of reality while flying a similar vessel as opposed to delivering really rare coffee and wine?
