      I am okay with some HA. I just don't recommend HA serum then HA moisturizer then HA sunscreen then HA make up, you get the point. Usually for make up application, always use a moisturizer or sunscreen (if morning) underneath. Then you can use the make up on top. And if you try the Loreal HA tinted serum and it doesn't dry you out after a few weeks of using it, then that's fine!

    I haven't started any skin care routine yet and my skin is very dull..can i please get the answers for few of my questions, it'd be a great help🙏🏻
    1- should i use a cerave or cetaphil face wash (have heard greatly about those two but isn't sure)
    2- is dr Rachel vitamin c face serum good?? Because its very cheap and affordable, I'm afraid that it might have harmful ingredient or should i buy another brands face serum
    3- can i use hyloraunic acid after these two processes and is it compulsory to use a moisturiser after it or can i simple buy one with moisturiser in it(can u please recommend the better option) and if im using a seperate moisturiser should vitamin c serum also be included in the routine
    4- may i know why the skin colour of my body are very different the upper part of my body is fair and the lower part is dark, is there a specific reason and how to get even skintone.
    Sorry for the huge list of questions😔

    • @drswatikannan
      @drswatikannan  4 месяца назад +2

      Hi. 1. Yo can use either, it's really a personal choice on which one you like. 2. I haven't heard of that Vitamin C so not too familiar with it 3. You can simply buy a moisturizer. You don't need a separate HA. 4. There's normal variation in brown skin. It's not possible to have one skin tone from head to toe. None of us have that.

    Thank you. This is very helpful. I have a sensitive and extremely dry skin type. I also have PCOS which causes acne and excessive hair growth so I have a host of issues. Trying to avoid any extra additives that may make my skin and hormones worse.
    I try to keep my skincare routine as “natural” as possible. My goal is to correct hyperpigmentation and hydrate my skin. My current routine is 1) witch hazel toner- Thayers, 2) organic hyaluronic acid serum by satin naturel, and 3) aloe vera gel (stem cell & Manuka honey infused) by Being Naturals every evening after face wash. I also use vitamin c serum by Éclat 3 nights per week.
    Would you recommend doing anything different? Or using oil instead of the aloe vera? If so, would you recommend any face oils (that don’t promote hair growth)?

    • @drswatikannan
      @drswatikannan  Год назад

      Thank you for watching! I usually don't recommend witch hazel as it can be irritating for most skin types. Certain ingredients like licorice are natural and helpful for discoloration. I am also not aware of benefits of aloe vera for discoloration. But if it is helpful go for it!

    Have a question! For someone with an oily
    Skin, would still advise the use of Vaseline or Aquaphor? And does it clog pores ??? And the risk of acne and flare up?? Please address! Thanks

    • @drswatikannan
      @drswatikannan  4 месяца назад

      Technically vaseline and aquaphor are non-comedogenic meaning they don't clog pores. But in oily skin, I don't always recommend using ointments. You can use ointment on the dry areas but not to the entire face. There's a risk, in my opinion, that Vaseline or aquaphor may flare acne in acne prone and oily skin.

    • @drswatikannan
      @drswatikannan  Год назад +3

      To my knowledge, Vitamin B12 doesn't trigger acne. Biotin, another form of vitamin B, can trigger acne in high dose.
      The daily recommended dose for vitamin B 12 is 2.4 micrograms for adults, per USA guidelines. I recommend seeing your doctor first, assessing for any vitamin deficiencies and asking for recommendations.

  • @DumpTrump4TRE45ON
    @DumpTrump4TRE45ON Год назад +7

    Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a polysaccharide found in the extracellular matrix of vertebrate epithelial, neural and connective tissues. Due to the high moisture retention, biocompatibility and viscoelasticity properties of this polymer, HA has become an important component of major pharmaceutical, biomedical and cosmetic products with high commercial value worldwide. Currently, large scale production of HA involves extraction from animal tissues as well as the use of bacterial expression systems in Streptococci. However, due to concerns over safety, alternative sources of HA have been pursued which include the use of endotoxin-free microorganisms such as Bacilli and Escherichia coli. In this review, we explore current knowledge of biosynthetic enzymes that produce HA, how these systems have been used commercially to produce HA and how the challenges of producing HA cheaply and safely are being addressed. THIS CAME FROM PUBMED..............I am an RN (30 yrs) (Plus a degree in Chemistry and an MFA) Hyaluronic acid does not have a lower pH, it actually has a slightly highr one than say, Glycolic or Mandelic or Lactic Acid. However it sucks up - per dry crystal- close to 1,000 time its weight in H20. So a serum of basically Hyaluronic Acid and Water (pH around 6-9) is not acidic enough to exfoliate but as the water content leaves your skin through the day it actually dehydrates your skin and makes it look , well , older, which if you have dry skin use an emoliant or moisture barrier over the serum a few minutes after you apply. If you have oily skin, you pretty much just spent money for no real result, may have no skin plumping. Hyaluronic Acid HAS NO PROVEN ANTI AGING BENEFITS but if you wash, apply, moisturize, you will look better for a few hours and its not toxic. So, its a good thing for a lot of people, I buy it raw and make a serum for co-workers.

      If it's in a nice cream or eye cream, I think it's fine. I personally dont prefer too much HA serum by it self under the eyes.

    Hi Doc, I recently bought Vit C serum, hyaluronic Acid and Retinol serum
    In which Retinol serum is using 3 times a week
    Vit C serum daily morning
    Hyaluronic acid twice weekly
    Is this routine enough or should I make any change in these ?

    Oh yeah $39 for HA being a really great price point. Lol! If you're on a Doctors salary.
