That’s the difference between 50% AA and 100% AA. It really is lacking and Sunday fixes all of the issues with Bronya AND sparkle and he gives energy. It’s gonna be hard to powercreep him
Sparkle was a bronya “upgrade” that came with the trade off of lower AA… Sunday is just a straight upgrade with a better LC that allows for more sp efficiency with no downsides… he also has a Tingyun fusion with his kit even though it’s less than Tingyun from the ultimate is most cases, it actually isn’t because having the dps go again and use their skill generates and additional 30 energy on top of Sunday’s minimum of 40… meaning he actually generates more, it’s actually insane what Sunday can do… there’s a reason Acheron, Feixiao, and FF don’t really have energy needs because 2 characters don’t have energy, and 1 generates their own. Every single ultimate character in the game would prefer Sunday along with every servant/summon character wanting him… he actually fills two niches at once and his sp efficiency allows for Robin to fit.
I have a sneaking suspicion it is still 2 cycles vs 1 cycle, just with the Sparkle team finishing at the end of the third cycle instead of the beginning.
Never thought a limited harmony could get powercrept? Robin pretty much eliminated sparkle right after 2 patches. That was the fastest powercreep ever. Powercreep has always been a serious issue in HSR. Surprised that people just noticed it now that sunday is releasing soon.
Reason why Sunday was performing better: 1. He provide the DPS twice the amount of turn compare to Sparkle. People might not realized this but more turn mean more MV, or more times the multipliers are turned into actual dmg. This effectively make all type of dmg buff less saturated cause they're buffing more multipliers in total, which mean the performance you get from E6S1 Sparkle ended up playing catch up with just an E0S1 Sunday. She just can't give her buff to as many turn despite having stronger buff in total. The plus for being able to run Atk Boots with Sparkle also get diminished due to Sunday provide dmg% buff the most, therefore you can run Atk orb to balanced out the total stats. 2. More turn also lead to an easier time charging Robin ult, and the sooner you can catch Robin ult, the more AV you can save, preferably a good amount before the cycle end so robin ult will end toward the end of the next cycle and not the "next next" one, saving you more cycle. You can observe in the run that Robin wasn't able to get enough energy to cast her ult before the 1st cycle ended in Sparkle run, therefore cannot potentially save a cycle (and that's considering you can also recharge Robin ult before it ended in Sparkle team, which is progressively harder the longer the fight goes). More turn also mean more dmg tick coming from Robin ult. 3. Sunday not only is sp positive with his lc, he also recharge IL ult which in turn give IL more Squama Sacrosancta stacks => ease his sp consumption even more. In the run IL can still frequently spam his 3 sp EBA despite 140 - 139 being a more sp heavy setup than hyperspeed support with 160+ spd.
I am curious tho, sparkle does actually give dhil her own speed in exhange. So dhil is issentially running at 160+ speed. So shouldnt that balance somethings atleast

DHIL might have more dmg with E6 Sparkle, but if he's getting less turns without Robin's ult, E6 Sparkle team will still end up clearing slower Although, as people have pointed out, comparing E6 Sparkle and E0 Sunday isn't that reasonable since E6 Sparkle prefers multiple DPS instead of just one. The comparison should still be on their base kits
@@Bloomandgrow5756 160+ hyperspeed support strat have always been inferior in term of theoretical DPAV compare to -1 spd tuning support with 100% Action Advance, this has been true for most of the DPS who can play around with its sp consumption and have a lot of their dmg dealt by taking turn, prime example are DPS like Jingliu or Blade. Before Sparkle was a thing IL can actually run this setup with Bronya, by always do +1 sp Basic then have Bronya pulling him up for -3 sp EBA, however when Sparkle was introduced her hyperspeed setup is more simple to manage, allow for -3 sp EBA every turn without any micro managing and allow for running Atk Boots. Now E0S1 Sunday in his current state is quite literally more sp positive than Sparkle and also a Bronya + Tingyun in one kit, allow for IL to -3 sp EBA on almost every turn while still using an sp heavy strat like -1 spd tuning with 100% action advance, so it only make sense that he did better than Sparkle. Her biggest flaw is only having 50% action advance, making her unable to use the -1 spd tuning strats effectively.
Simpler explanation. DHIL isn’t E2 If he has E2, Sunday combo for double turn won’t be needed. And with an extra turn for extra Lv3attack will also give him more energy. Something that can’t be done with Sunday because there won’t be enough SP for DHIL to spam Lv3. So at E0 with Sparkle, DHIL has more SP than he can spend.
Sparkle probably could've saved that last Cycle if she had pulled Robin up for an earlier Ult some time in the battle; still wild that E0S1 Sunday performs on par with E6S1 Sparkle.

Also the thing about E6 sparkle, she only give 30%+ more CD on the dps. The actual gimmick is she spread her CD buff to the whole team. However if you are not using double dps or maybe triple dps, the CD buff is useless. The only actual significant dmg increase is at E2. E4 only give 1 more sp. So im not saying the video is misleading but its overselling sunday as sparkle replacement when you dont actually say or actually use Sparkle E6
The problem with sparkle is that they gave the sp generation part of the kit too much focus and gutted the rest of the kit. Even if sunday did not get buffed in v3 he would have still been more powerful than sparkle. Too bad for me though, it took months for me to get her to 170 spd, 200 crit damage
Theres probably not a lot of comps where this will make the difference but Sparkle also splashes a little bit into teamwide buffs where Sunday does not, her quantum based atk% and dmg% are both teamwide.
thats the issue, sunday fans knew that the summon thingy wasnt enough and the testers knew to, so they had to buff him to make sure ppl dont call hoyoverse a man hater, and robin and ruan mei raised the standards a lot, but everyone loved sparkles sp generation they forgot that buffing characters is also smt sparkle had to excel on.
Don't listen to those who always say, "Get every Harmony, they can't be powercrept" Sparkle is proof that Harmony can indeed be powercrept. Instead, pull for Harmony characters that will benefit your account.
they are the harder ones to powercreep compared to something like a damage dealer. They are supports afterall, they don't do damage so they have nothing to lose. Sparkle specifically was never that exceptional in the first place, she has always been a more comfy Bronya and Bronya had higher ceiling from the beginning, as well as the fact that sparkle only provides 50% AV which is a big minus vs bronya/sunday.

Sparkle was released on 2.0, mind you that's February 29. If Sunday does powercreep Sparkle, which is a character that is to be released on 2.7 (December) why should it matter if he indeed powercrept her? That's literally 9 months of Sparkle being good. You're telling me people should skip a good Harmony character so they can anticipate a BETTER Harmony character that's to come in what? 9-12 months? If that's your thoughts then clearly the window up your brain is quite open, considering the thoughts you have are filled with air.
I think we have to accept the uncomfortable truth that her kit was always underbaked. They leaned too much on the sp regeneration that the rest of her buffs feel lacking. Sunday did not kick her off her teams, Robin had already done that. At the end of the day 50% turn advance is just not as good. They dedicated one of her traces to a falling team comp (mono quantum). And that energy on basic attack trace is also ass. Even Bronya is seeing more use (Boothill,Feixiao) She couldnt save hypercarry. Sunday just has to be better than her if they want to revive the hypercarry team comp
People complaining about powercreep right now but didn’t notice how overtuned and braindead the game got when they released Acheron and Firefly. It’s suddenly an issue when a hypercarry harmony surpassed a mediocre unit that got beaten even by Robin at hypercarries. The only unit that got powercrept here is Sparkle meanwhile almost every 1.x DPS benefits greatly from Sunday. He’s basically putting JingYuan, JingLiu, and DHIL back to the meta and is reverse powercreep to the 2.x dps units.
Mind you while this is a powercreep to Sparkle it's also biggest instance of reverse powercreep they have done in the game. 4 patches ago nobody would believe you that by 3.x JingYuan and Acheron would be on equal footing.

Powercreep this, powercreep that, as if Sparkle wasn't absolutely cooked when Robin came out. Most people are only complaining bc Sunday is a guy let's be real. Sparkle was already cooked by the fact that her AA is only 50%, she doesn't give crit rate (unless you have her LC) and they leaned too much into her skill recovery (which only truly benefits two unites - Lunae and QQ).

True. But is surreal that people didn't realise that Sparkle was not more meta comparable when Robin came out because the lack of synergy of these two. They just realise now because Sunday's kit is basically the same but perfect. Even Jiaoqiu is more meta than sparkle, guves better results when pairing with Robin than Sparkle.
Cause Sunday and Sparkle is similar in role, they both hyper carry support plus SP niche, both have damge% and c.damge. Robin atleast can be use with duo dps setup

The balance team can get pretty creative when they wanna change the meta to buff a unit. Theres a lot of overlap so its tough to target buff Sparkle without also buffing Sunday but not impossible

@@Rogerr27 She is still the top. She hasn't been power crept yet. Its just how you play here. Sunday does well in non-summon team too cause his kit doesn't heavily rely on buffing summons. I have seen many teams played with sunday and he work really well. So to say Sparkle will still be top for generalist support, followed by Sunday with his specialty in summon based buffing. This is without the Lightcones added because that will be an entire different conversation. You can say with it Sunday becomes the Sparkle for summon. So in terms of general support, Sparkle is higher cause she can action advance support too, whereas Sunday cant. But in a a summon support, Sunday takes the lead if you showcases with JY. Its just there is not much of a power tipping between both.

Oh, are people finally realizing that Sparkle has always been the "worse" 5 star Harmony (which isn't saying too much since Harmony is a broken path in general)? lmao Mind you, only E1 and E2 are really good Eidolons for Sparkle, so the difference isn't a big as it might look (also, Robin and Sparkle are anti-synergistic with each other). But on a side tangent, there was a reason I prefer Hanya over Sparkle, even if Sparkle was "objectively" better. Definitely more easily available to have your SP economy utility be tied to your skill rather than ult, and her buffs are actually 2 turns for my E2+ DHIL compare to Sparkle's skill buffs. lol Anyways, this is why you will always have a better time in gacha games if you don't care about meta and just pull for who you want. And if the gacha game is no longer fun when you do that, then it's a bad game in general.
I should also add that people are very much overexaggerating about this video. Just because Sunday is the more ideal support for DHIL doesn't make Sparkle "unusable". Honestly, this is exactly why it's hard not to mock you people that play for meta. You act like it's the end of the world if a unit gets "powercreeped".

Planned Obsolescence same reason Black Swan Arcana stacks reset to 1 or Dr Ratio followup reliant on debuffs so they can make a better character later mechanically and dmg wise. Theres no reason to gimp a characters kit in such an unusual way no DOT in the game goes back to 1 stack every enemy turn but Black Swan.
They were so scared of making her powercreep Bronya only for her to get powercrept by Robin few patches later. Now the birds siblings both laugh in unison
@@kennethyoung7457 i always thought Arcana resetting to 1 was so weird. Especially since the normal DoT debuffs stay infinitely as long as you keep applying them. This is why I truly believe we’re getting a new DoT unit, who has Black Swan’s kit but without the reset and can detonate their own DoT
They where avoiding the Bronya combo who literally would break the game and probably didn't think about the solution of gatekeeping the harmony class from the AA like they did to Sunday. Honestly wish they could buff old units bc if they didn't change anything else on Sparkle, only this....she would not lose to anyone anymore
hoyo didnt realize how broken 100% aa was until they released a unit that does it for all three teammates. this is their first attempth at an aa support after bronya and they thought a bronya with better uptime and sp positivity would be too strong so they had to nerf her AA, then as time went by and bronya got better and sparkle worse it becomes clear that 100% AA is stronger than anything sparkle gives. basically they overestimated Sparkle's sp positivity and underestimated how easy it is to get robin ult, and now theyre stuck with this mess

Sparkle is an outlier, she's badly designed. Ruan Mei is a 1.x unit and still at the top of meta. Bronya is a 1.0 standard unit and still going strong, same for Tingyun who's an old 4 star

Also, because the utility Bronya and Tingyun provide works very well with the current environment for post game, even when a unit that's a "better" version of them gets released, they won't get powercrept. The issue with Sparkle is that her kit has always had issues that people pointed out even back then. Despite her SP utility, Sparkle wasn't as SP positive as she looked on the surface. She essentially gave you +1 SP on her ult when you consider the fact that you use her skill all the time with her and she takes 3 turns generally to build up her ult. This means that her synergy with DHIL isn't as great as it seems, and once DHIL is E2+, she actually a bit anti-synergistic became her skill buff falls off because of DHIL's AA on ult. This is me saying this as Dan Heng main btw, so trust me when I say that Sparkle was never truly DHIL's ideal support. Just the best he's got with Hanya coming in as a close second (which is saying a lot since she's a niche 4 star Harmony unit lol). Regardless, people are overexaggerating and Sparkle is still great when Harmony is such a broken class in HSR.

@@dvornikovalexeiLiterally all bro needs is an HP fluctuation and scaling support. In the same vein as Our General, Blade's main limiting factor is his attack frequency and lack of archetype support. Hence why his main non-PF comp these days is Unlimited Blade Works. He's still the only proper HP fluctuation unit besides, like, Fu Xuan, so you just have to duplicate him to fill in the team slots.

@@countdown_4324 Sparkle's skill lasts for 1.9 turns. Her buff is expired once an E2 DHIL got his 2nd turn after ulting. It's also why Jingliu does prefer him over Sparkle, and Sunday + Sparkle is pretty anti-synergistic for JY (Sparkle's skill expires before LL brought up by Sunday).

It turns out that in addition to e6 the dragon should spin not e6 sparkle (Now she is E2 s1) , but just sunday... Give advice on the best squad for a dragon, with the establishment of a constellation, because now I am not sure that I have made a squad correctly...
dhil sunday robin and huohuo are his best team, albeit with E2 youre gonna have to work around the sp usage and occasionally basic attack with him to generate sp then sunday buff then 3EBA
Power creep or not, I feel like if we get new characters in the future other harmonies like Sparkle can actually become viable, but also doesn’t want other harmony units. Like Bronya to Clara, you’ll lose FUA value from Clara and Hypercarry Clara isn’t ideal Robin to Clara (Even if FUA buffs are good to her, you’ll still lose FUA counter especially from Clara’s ult unlike Yunli) Sparkle to DoTs since they don’t Crit Jing Yuan doesn’t have a dedicated support until Sunday got released. Some other characters work too but his damage was flaw and doesn’t make a difference but with Sunday he also buffs LL. Can work too with Hypercarry Topaz or the unusual Hypercarry Lingsha. I would also hope for a Harmony Unit that actually buffs DoTs in which DoTs are inflicted two times at once basically double infliction (For example Black Swan’s Arcana Stacks went from 10 to 20)

She covers QUA content as a dps, she's better here because she'll have some use and they'll release more characters that she can buff. She also have a locked skill that that's for the new Astral Ring type in 8.0 So she's solid
Its so weird cause Sparkles eidolons arent as impactful as every other harmony unit that's been premium, like one of her traces just makes her more of a duo dps support, which isn't the archetype she really fits in. It just SUCKS she was doomed to fail with how her eidolons are more in par with the older 5 stars than others like Robin AND her team archetypes were starting to fall off
I mean all limited Harmony eidolons kind of suck. Ruan Mei outside of her E1 has trash eidolons, and even her E1 is just ok when looking at its actual value. Robin is kind of similar (if a mildly better), E1 is the best eidolon, everything after is kind of mid (E6 is decent). Sunday’s Eidolons aren’t anything insane either, they’re just decent overall.
@@poin8456 E2 Robin, E4 Robin and E6 Robin are actually broken as hell extra energy per attack and 16% more spd with basically 100% uptime is great, 50% effect res pairs with Aventurine perfectly so your team is totally immune to all debuffs and E6 makes Robin hit crazy hard during ult state she has some of the best eidolons in the game.
@@kennethyoung7457 E2 Robin is good for flexibility, but doesn’t improve her actual standard team comps by much, E4 Robin doesn’t increase your DPS threshold at all, and is only situationally decent for consistency, and E6 Robin is good, but limited in its power. Overall I think she has better eidolons than Sparkle herself, but that isn’t saying much imo.

I love Sunsay but lets be real, her e6 gives teamwide crit dmg buff so she might do better with multiple dps in a team. As to what team comp it is idk 😅 But yeah, outside her e6 and quantum team, Sunday ❤
Even with dual dps/fua teams, the problem is Robin exists. Sparkle's E6 might make her buffs teamwide, but Robin's buffs even at just E0 are also teamwide, and are more suited for that kind of team comp.

This is why speedtuning is so important in this game. This sparkle was played terribly wrong. There's no point in having 160 speed if you dont act 3 times per cycle. If your sparkle acted 3 times per cycle, you could've 0 cycle
If sparkle was acting 3 times, you could've hold robin ult for the second wave, which would allow you to act 5 times in the second wave. That would've resulted in a 0 cycle
I'm not defending Sparkle but why ult right away with Robin on 9:15? You have sustain Huohuo even, you can let the swarm minions give them some energy. Plus target some of DHIL's 3/target to the trotters for buff. But yes ofc, its an e6 support vs e0 lmao. We should expect that even misplays, we should be fine.. That's why I plan to use Ruan Mei instead since her buffs decrease based on her turns so seems the better option, 4* Tingyun would need to refresh her buff every turn with e2 dan heng too so Ruan Mei is the easiest choice 🤣

На е6 Искорка дает криты не одному персонажу, а всей пачке, но эта конкретная пачка множит ВСЕ преимущество на 0. Так и сказали бы - е5. И то, е4 бесполезен, как у большинства - +1 сп, которых и так дохера. Имеют значение, по сути, только е1 и е2, на эйдолонах выше все, что дает небольшую прибавку конкретно Дань Хэну - повышение уровней талантов на е3 и е5. По сути, она тут работает как немного баффнутая уровнями в таланты е2. НЕ как е6. И да, кфс лучше нее в этой пачке. Но не потому, что ее е6 слабее его е0 скиллсета, а потому что ее е6 здесь просто не работает.

Arent sparkle eidolons not that much in terms of power but instead making her more of an AOE buffer? I think the only real difference is in the e2, so unless is dual dps, this and an e2 sparkle shouldnt be that different, except for the extra skill point in the e4. Is like comparing the dps of an c6 hu tao and a c0 arlechinno, the constallations doesnt matter because the diferrences with herself with or without the constallations were almost non existant to being with

Bruh i’m for sure getting e1s1 Sunday and he’ll replace sparkle on my e0 lingsha, e6s1 bobin and e1s1 ruan mei team. My king yuan will also be great again. Also jingliu, finally bronya gets sacked.
The difference would be even more disproportionate with an e2 DHIL… Sunday being an sp+ Bronya upgrade combined with Tingyun is insane for a generalist kit. People initially think he generates less energy than Tingyun but his 100% AA makes him generate an additional 30 energy when the dps does a skill when they get AS, at the VERY MINIMUM FOR ANY CHARACTER it’s 70 energy at the very lowest for a character. Sparkle was given restrictions with the 50% AA where as Sunday has been given more utility, sp refunding which in many cases is more comfortable than generating 3 skill points on an ult because within that time where Sparkle is waiting for her ult she is actually consuming more than Sunday since he never loses a skill point if you play him right which is just using spamming skill on the selected dps over and over. Sunday is a straight upgrade from Bronya in so with a mix of Tingyun for every character excluding his stronger niche with servants/summons which would make his mechanics even stronger in those teams and the dps for servants/summons are definitely going to be stronger than Jing Yuan and even the DHIL show case here… it will actually be insane to see what Sunday can do… I very much expect a ton of nerfs for Sunday with this performance with 1.x dps that aren’t even his main niche… in which he actually fulfills two, a strong meta in summon/servant meta, but also an energy regen unit for any unit in the game where he’s just a mix of Tingyun and Bronya without any trade off at all, he’s just an upgrade.

That’s the difference between 50% AA and 100% AA. It really is lacking and Sunday fixes all of the issues with Bronya AND sparkle and he gives energy. It’s gonna be hard to powercreep him
Sparkle was a bronya “upgrade” that came with the trade off of lower AA… Sunday is just a straight upgrade with a better LC that allows for more sp efficiency with no downsides… he also has a Tingyun fusion with his kit even though it’s less than Tingyun from the ultimate is most cases, it actually isn’t because having the dps go again and use their skill generates and additional 30 energy on top of Sunday’s minimum of 40… meaning he actually generates more, it’s actually insane what Sunday can do… there’s a reason Acheron, Feixiao, and FF don’t really have energy needs because 2 characters don’t have energy, and 1 generates their own.
Every single ultimate character in the game would prefer Sunday along with every servant/summon character wanting him… he actually fills two niches at once and his sp efficiency allows for Robin to fit.
I have a sneaking suspicion it is still 2 cycles vs 1 cycle, just with the Sparkle team finishing at the end of the third cycle instead of the beginning.
Never thought a limited harmony could get powercrept? Robin pretty much eliminated sparkle right after 2 patches. That was the fastest powercreep ever.
Powercreep has always been a serious issue in HSR. Surprised that people just noticed it now that sunday is releasing soon.

Reason why Sunday was performing better:
1. He provide the DPS twice the amount of turn compare to Sparkle. People might not realized this but more turn mean more MV, or more times the multipliers are turned into actual dmg. This effectively make all type of dmg buff less saturated cause they're buffing more multipliers in total, which mean the performance you get from E6S1 Sparkle ended up playing catch up with just an E0S1 Sunday. She just can't give her buff to as many turn despite having stronger buff in total. The plus for being able to run Atk Boots with Sparkle also get diminished due to Sunday provide dmg% buff the most, therefore you can run Atk orb to balanced out the total stats.
2. More turn also lead to an easier time charging Robin ult, and the sooner you can catch Robin ult, the more AV you can save, preferably a good amount before the cycle end so robin ult will end toward the end of the next cycle and not the "next next" one, saving you more cycle. You can observe in the run that Robin wasn't able to get enough energy to cast her ult before the 1st cycle ended in Sparkle run, therefore cannot potentially save a cycle (and that's considering you can also recharge Robin ult before it ended in Sparkle team, which is progressively harder the longer the fight goes). More turn also mean more dmg tick coming from Robin ult.
3. Sunday not only is sp positive with his lc, he also recharge IL ult which in turn give IL more Squama Sacrosancta stacks => ease his sp consumption even more. In the run IL can still frequently spam his 3 sp EBA despite 140 - 139 being a more sp heavy setup than hyperspeed support with 160+ spd.
I am curious tho, sparkle does actually give dhil her own speed in exhange. So dhil is issentially running at 160+ speed. So shouldnt that balance somethings atleast

Although, as people have pointed out, comparing E6 Sparkle and E0 Sunday isn't that reasonable since E6 Sparkle prefers multiple DPS instead of just one. The comparison should still be on their base kits
@@Bloomandgrow5756 160+ hyperspeed support strat have always been inferior in term of theoretical DPAV compare to -1 spd tuning support with 100% Action Advance, this has been true for most of the DPS who can play around with its sp consumption and have a lot of their dmg dealt by taking turn, prime example are DPS like Jingliu or Blade.
Before Sparkle was a thing IL can actually run this setup with Bronya, by always do +1 sp Basic then have Bronya pulling him up for -3 sp EBA, however when Sparkle was introduced her hyperspeed setup is more simple to manage, allow for -3 sp EBA every turn without any micro managing and allow for running Atk Boots.
Now E0S1 Sunday in his current state is quite literally more sp positive than Sparkle and also a Bronya + Tingyun in one kit, allow for IL to -3 sp EBA on almost every turn while still using an sp heavy strat like -1 spd tuning with 100% action advance, so it only make sense that he did better than Sparkle. Her biggest flaw is only having 50% action advance, making her unable to use the -1 spd tuning strats effectively.
Simpler explanation. DHIL isn’t E2
If he has E2, Sunday combo for double turn won’t be needed.
And with an extra turn for extra Lv3attack will also give him more energy. Something that can’t be done with Sunday because there won’t be enough SP for DHIL to spam Lv3.
So at E0 with Sparkle, DHIL has more SP than he can spend.

Also the thing about E6 sparkle, she only give 30%+ more CD on the dps. The actual gimmick is she spread her CD buff to the whole team. However if you are not using double dps or maybe triple dps, the CD buff is useless.
The only actual significant dmg increase is at E2. E4 only give 1 more sp. So im not saying the video is misleading but its overselling sunday as sparkle replacement when you dont actually say or actually use Sparkle E6
The problem with sparkle is that they gave the sp generation part of the kit too much focus and gutted the rest of the kit. Even if sunday did not get buffed in v3 he would have still been more powerful than sparkle. Too bad for me though, it took months for me to get her to 170 spd, 200 crit damage

Theres probably not a lot of comps where this will make the difference but Sparkle also splashes a little bit into teamwide buffs where Sunday does not, her quantum based atk% and dmg% are both teamwide.
thats the issue, sunday fans knew that the summon thingy wasnt enough and the testers knew to, so they had to buff him to make sure ppl dont call hoyoverse a man hater, and robin and ruan mei raised the standards a lot, but everyone loved sparkles sp generation they forgot that buffing characters is also smt sparkle had to excel on.

they are the harder ones to powercreep compared to something like a damage dealer. They are supports afterall, they don't do damage so they have nothing to lose. Sparkle specifically was never that exceptional in the first place, she has always been a more comfy Bronya and Bronya had higher ceiling from the beginning, as well as the fact that sparkle only provides 50% AV which is a big minus vs bronya/sunday.

If Sunday does powercreep Sparkle, which is a character that is to be released on 2.7 (December) why should it matter if he indeed powercrept her? That's literally 9 months of Sparkle being good. I think we have to accept the uncomfortable truth that her kit was always underbaked. They leaned too much on the sp regeneration that the rest of her buffs feel lacking. Sunday did not kick her off her teams, Robin had already done that. At the end of the day 50% turn advance is just not as good. They dedicated one of her traces to a falling team comp (mono quantum). And that energy on basic attack trace is also ass. Even Bronya is seeing more use (Boothill,Feixiao) She couldnt save hypercarry. Sunday just has to be better than her if they want to revive the hypercarry team comp

People complaining about powercreep right now but didn’t notice how overtuned and braindead the game got when they released Acheron and Firefly. It’s suddenly an issue when a hypercarry harmony surpassed a mediocre unit that got beaten even by Robin at hypercarries. The only unit that got powercrept here is Sparkle meanwhile almost every 1.x DPS benefits greatly from Sunday. He’s basically putting JingYuan, JingLiu, and DHIL back to the meta and is reverse powercreep to the 2.x dps units.

Powercreep this, powercreep that, as if Sparkle wasn't absolutely cooked when Robin came out. Most people are only complaining bc Sunday is a guy let's be real. Sparkle was already cooked by the fact that her AA is only 50%, she doesn't give crit rate (unless you have her LC) and they leaned too much into her skill recovery (which only truly benefits two unites - Lunae and QQ).

The balance team can get pretty creative when they wanna change the meta to buff a unit. Theres a lot of overlap so its tough to target buff Sparkle without also buffing Sunday but not impossible

@@Rogerr27 She is still the top. She hasn't been power crept yet. Its just how you play here. Sunday does well in non-summon team too cause his kit doesn't heavily rely on buffing summons. I have seen many teams played with sunday and he work really well. So to say Sparkle will still be top for generalist support, followed by Sunday with his specialty in summon based buffing. This is without the Lightcones added because that will be an entire different conversation. You can say with it Sunday becomes the Sparkle for summon. So in terms of general support, Sparkle is higher cause she can action advance support too, whereas Sunday cant. But in a a summon support, Sunday takes the lead if you showcases with JY. Its just there is not much of a power tipping between both.

Mind you, only E1 and E2 are really good Eidolons for Sparkle, so the difference isn't a big as it might look (also, Robin and Sparkle are anti-synergistic with each other). But on a side tangent, there was a reason I prefer Hanya over Sparkle, even if Sparkle was "objectively" better. Definitely more easily available to have your SP economy utility be tied to your skill rather than ult, and her buffs are actually 2 turns for my E2+ DHIL compare to Sparkle's skill buffs. lol
Anyways, this is why you will always have a better time in gacha games if you don't care about meta and just pull for who you want. And if the gacha game is no longer fun when you do that, then it's a bad game in general.
I should also add that people are very much overexaggerating about this video. Just because Sunday is the more ideal support for DHIL doesn't make Sparkle "unusable". Planned Obsolescence same reason Black Swan Arcana stacks reset to 1 or Dr Ratio followup reliant on debuffs so they can make a better character later mechanically and dmg wise. Theres no reason to gimp a characters kit in such an unusual way no DOT in the game goes back to 1 stack every enemy turn but Black Swan.
They were so scared of making her powercreep Bronya only for her to get powercrept by Robin few patches later. Now the birds siblings both laugh in unison
@@kennethyoung7457 i always thought Arcana resetting to 1 was so weird. Especially since the normal DoT debuffs stay infinitely as long as you keep applying them. This is why I truly believe we’re getting a new DoT unit, who has Black Swan’s kit but without the reset and can detonate their own DoT

hoyo didnt realize how broken 100% aa was until they released a unit that does it for all three teammates. this is their first attempth at an aa support after bronya and they thought a bronya with better uptime and sp positivity would be too strong so they had to nerf her AA, then as time went by and bronya got better and sparkle worse it becomes clear that 100% AA is stronger than anything sparkle gives. basically they overestimated Sparkle's sp positivity and underestimated how easy it is to get robin ult, and now theyre stuck with this mess

Sparkle is an outlier, she's badly designed. Ruan Mei is a 1.x unit and still at the top of meta. Bronya is a 1.0 standard unit and still going strong, same for Tingyun who's an old 4 star

Also, because the utility Bronya and Tingyun provide works very well with the current environment for post game, even when a unit that's a "better" version of them gets released, they won't get powercrept.
The issue with Sparkle is that her kit has always had issues that people pointed out even back then. Despite her SP utility, Sparkle wasn't as SP positive as she looked on the surface. She essentially gave you +1 SP on her ult when you consider the fact that you use her skill all the time with her and she takes 3 turns generally to build up her ult. This means that her synergy with DHIL isn't as great as it seems, and once DHIL is E2+, she actually a bit anti-synergistic became her skill buff falls off because of DHIL's AA on ult. This is me saying this as Dan Heng main btw, so trust me when I say that Sparkle was never truly DHIL's ideal support. Just the best he's got with Hanya coming in as a close second (which is saying a lot since she's a niche 4 star Harmony unit lol).
Regardless, people are overexaggerating and Sparkle is still great when Harmony is such a broken class in HSR.
It's even funny that Sunday, without being a support completely dedicated to hypercarry (remember that it was made for summon characters), has bypassed the support that was going to "revive" the hypercarry archetype

Robin to Clara (Even if FUA buffs are good to her, you’ll still lose FUA counter especially from Clara’s ult unlike Yunli)

Jing Yuan doesn’t have a dedicated support until Sunday got released. Some other characters work too but his damage was flaw and doesn’t make a difference but with Sunday he also buffs LL. Can work too with Hypercarry Topaz or the unusual Hypercarry Lingsha.
I would also hope for a Harmony Unit that actually buffs DoTs in which DoTs are inflicted two times at once basically double infliction (For example Black Swan’s Arcana Stacks went from 10 to 20)

Its so weird cause Sparkles eidolons arent as impactful as every other harmony unit that's been premium, like one of her traces just makes her more of a duo dps support, which isn't the archetype she really fits in. It just SUCKS she was doomed to fail with how her eidolons are more in par with the older 5 stars than others like Robin AND her team archetypes were starting to fall off
I mean all limited Harmony eidolons kind of suck.
Ruan Mei outside of her E1 has trash eidolons, and even her E1 is just ok when looking at its actual value.
Robin is kind of similar (if a mildly better), E1 is the best eidolon, everything after is kind of mid (E6 is decent).
Sunday’s Eidolons aren’t anything insane either, they’re just decent overall.

Even with dual dps/fua teams, the problem is Robin exists. Sparkle's E6 might make her buffs teamwide, but Robin's buffs even at just E0 are also teamwide, and are more suited for that kind of team comp.

This is why speedtuning is so important in this game. This sparkle was played terribly wrong.
There's no point in having 160 speed if you dont act 3 times per cycle. If your sparkle acted 3 times per cycle, you could've 0 cycle
If sparkle was acting 3 times, you could've hold robin ult for the second wave, which would allow you to act 5 times in the second wave. That would've resulted in a 0 cycle

И то, е4 бесполезен, как у большинства - +1 сп, которых и так дохера. Имеют значение, по сути, только е1 и е2, на эйдолонах выше все, что дает небольшую прибавку конкретно Дань Хэну - повышение уровней талантов на е3 и е5. По сути, она тут работает как немного баффнутая уровнями в таланты е2. НЕ как е6. И да, кфс лучше нее в этой пачке. Но не потому, что ее е6 слабее его е0 скиллсета, а потому что ее е6 здесь просто не работает.

Arent sparkle eidolons not that much in terms of power but instead making her more of an AOE buffer? I think the only real difference is in the e2, so unless is dual dps, this and an e2 sparkle shouldnt be that different, except for the extra skill point in the e4.

In exchange summons are more favored. But they also nerfed his set for the servant meta (the buff doesn’t apply to chars with servants only now).

Sunday being an sp+ Bronya upgrade combined with Tingyun is insane for a generalist kit. People initially think he generates less energy than Tingyun but his 100% AA makes him generate an additional 30 energy when the dps does a skill when they get AS, at the VERY MINIMUM FOR ANY CHARACTER it’s 70 energy at the very lowest for a character.
Sparkle was given restrictions with the 50% AA where as Sunday has been given more utility, sp refunding which in many cases is more comfortable than generating 3 skill points on an ult because within that time where Sparkle is waiting for her ult she is actually consuming more than Sunday since he never loses a skill point if you play him right which is just using spamming skill on the selected dps over and over.
Sunday is a straight upgrade from Bronya in so with a mix of Tingyun for every character excluding his stronger niche with servants/summons which would make his mechanics even stronger in those teams and the dps for servants/summons are definitely going to be stronger than Jing Yuan and even the DHIL show case here… it will actually be insane to see what Sunday can do…
I very much expect a ton of nerfs for Sunday with this performance with 1.x dps that aren’t even his main niche… in which he actually fulfills two, a strong meta in summon/servant meta, but also an energy regen unit for any unit in the game where he’s just a mix of Tingyun and Bronya without any trade off at all, he’s just an upgrade.
