    Useful video. Thanks.
    A gpx route or track will have a track/route name in the gpx file. Can Garmin not be persuaded to use this for the course name? I find this one of the more annoying “features” of Connect.
    Good luck with the Spine!

      Thanks for your feedback and you are so right, in both the online version and the app why can't it just use the track/ route name!
      I will feed it back to Garmin, but thanks for reminding me!

    Great video. 👍🏻
    What do you think of Garmin Explore? It's slowly becoming more user friendly!

      Many thanks for your comment. I think you summed Garmin Explore well, it is slowly becoming more user friendly. We get so many people really struggling with it so we have decided to get customers to send .gpx files directly to the Connect app as 'it just works'. In the UK we struggle with the Explore App, as it does not have OS maps on>
      But the explore App will be the future for the outdoor sector, but I think it may be a few years away!

    Good video. I got my gpx track into the internal storage. But I cannot see it or open it on my 66sr device. It's not appearing in Route Planner, Waypoint Manager etc. Any ideas where they are, how to open a track please?

      GPX files can be routes, waypoints or tracks. So if it is a track (as you stated) you need to press Find (button) and then tracks.
      I hope this helps, please don’t forget our online resource with many of the videos being free - gpsonlinecourse.co.uk - this will help you to get to grips with your unit.

    Hi! Great video! I followed all the steps, but on Garmin Connect it says device not compatible. I have the Garmin Venu. Any advice on this? Thank you.

    • @ukgpstraining
      @ukgpstraining  2 года назад +1

      Please accept my apologies, but I have no expertise regarding the Garmin Venu, as we only stock 'outdoor units and watches'. I suspect though if it is saying 'not compatible' this is what it is. I would given the Garmin helpline a call, in the UK that is 0808 238 0000

    A very helpful video but when I tried to sync the course on Garmin Connect app with my 66i handheld GPS device it said "Does not support courses". Any ideas how to resolve?

      Thanks for your message, it sounds like you have to update your GPS unit, as it was a recent software update that enabled users to use Courses on a handheld GPS unit. I hope this helps.

    HI, I have just bought a GPSmaps66 and am very new to this. How do you get the OS map into Garmin Basecamp? The stock map is damn near useless. Thanks

    • @ukgpstraining
      @ukgpstraining  Год назад

      Thanks for your question. First of all you need OS maps on your GPS, plug it into your PC/ Mac and open BaseCamp.
      Go to maps on the top menu bar and select the OS maps you have on your unit.
      Then just zoom in to see the OS maps.
      I hope this helps.

    I cannot transfer gpx file from Desktop Garmin Connect to Forerunner 45. As reminded in the website, the gpx file must have certain information such as height. I am not sure whether this affect the transfer. Are there other reasons for the failure ?

    • @ukgpstraining
      @ukgpstraining  2 года назад

      Please accept my apologies, but we have no knowledge or understanding on the Forerunner range. It is a product we have never used/ stocked etc.
      I would give Garmin a call - 0808 238 0000 - and see if they can help you out.
      I hope this helps

    Hi - would this work on a Nuvi 310?

    • @ukgpstraining
      @ukgpstraining  Год назад

      Thanks for your question. Sadly we know nothing about the Nuvi GPS unit, as we sell/ support Outdoor units. If I had a Nuvi I would try it and see if it does work, nothing to lose.
